Wonder what happens when the juniors get raided
- How easy it is for them to get quality signings out there when they get a few holes that need filling....

I believe we have a fair bit of money next year. Only have Api and Papali'i as the big names of note coming in. Losing Luciano and Garner who were on decent coin themselves. If the club is smart they'll give the Duke a pay bump. Apart from Brooks I don't think there's any players on huge money.

Yeah they will feel the pinch eventually when their first grade and promising understudys all get picked off and they will need to fill the void until the next crop of kids are ready to step up. They will need to pay overs to draw other players over in the mean time which could stuff up their cap. If there's one thing Ivan knows how to do it's pay overs for mediocre players.

Haven't had to get anyone out there in a dogs age - and don't have Gus to sell it for them... Bound to get fleeced.

I'm not a huge fan but our second row stocks are pretty low for next year

No the Pom doesn’t work for the club he gets his information second hand and passes it on. Sometimes he’s right sometimes wrong. I can live with that. What I can’t live with is people claiming to know everything and making it up as they go along Looking for a reaction. As I said before people can believe what they want I choose not to

I know it’s disappointing to see them succeed but they have built this since they missed the finals the year after their great year in 2010. This is a long term thing and has been built to last.
Penrith Won SG Ball this year, top 2 in Flegg and NSW consecutive years prior.
I don’t see this changing any time soon.
However.
I believe we can do similar but unless we luck out another 05 season we are not going to see the fruits of the past couple of lean years and focus on pathways until well into the end of this decade.

Totally disagree, I was a fan.

Eisenhuth was the ultimate anti-Taumololo - one of the few players who could stop Taumololo 1:1 at his own tryline. Also had good hands for a pass/offload, if he was instructed to do that. Pretty big motor for a big unit.

Yes he wasn't dynamic in hitups and his top speed was ordinary, but not everyone can or should be a barnstorming forward, and not all big blokes are automatically Hercules with the football. Forward packs are about balance and complimentary capabilities, like in the military. If you have too much of one type of player, you will be found out.

Huth is also a reliable, quiet, incident-free (suspension-free also?) club member, at low cost.

Definitely - Eisenhuth does far better in a better quality side. At Penrith he does exactly what is required, as a foil for JFH in the front row, and to supplement the other more attack-focused forwards like Kikau and Leniu.

Eisenhuth's major issue at Tigers was we lacked go-forward, so we could not best use Huth's strengths.

But like Bryce Gibbs before him, I was always at least confident that Huth would bolster the ruck defence if we were losing the forwards battle. Only the elite players can consistently be both a rock in defence and a dynamo in attack.

On the flipside, some of the best imposing and threatening players are high-risk or even detrimental players, who despite being a real handful with the footy or in defence, are also too unreliable for their own good, e.g. TPJ, Victor Radley, Dylan Napa etc.
