Yeah the reason he left Salford was salary cap issues they couldn't give him a contract and wigan came knocking
Same issues will continue.
Brooks is a dud.
He gets shafted to the dogs in a Burton trade.
Ciraldo won't want him.

There should be no signings or re signings until the new coach is announced, that would just defeat the purpose of a new coach coming in and choosing his squad.

Now Maguire is gone I would like to see Cameron Ciraldo signed as Coach in 2023.
It would be great if he could bring across Charlie Staines and Liam Martin for 2023 from Penrith.
Canterbury swaps us Matt Burton and Hetherington and we give them Brooks (I like him but he really needs a fresh start and as a running 5/8) and Nofoaluma. Happy to pay Bulldogs some money as well to make it happen.
Staines (back up full back and winger)
Burton (5/8)
Martin (Second Row)
Hetherington (Prop rotation).
AD would either play Centre or Number 14 and Staines or T'oa on the wing.
Yes I am probably dreaming but with Papalii and Koroisau also joining in 2023 that is a team to get excited about.

I’d play burton at fullback gives him more freedom to open up his running game and you can still use him to kick us out of trouble and doughi our future captain still gets to play 5/8
I think regardless of who our new coach is he'd be happy knowing Hastings is here long term, other duds maguire signed he will weed out
The one I hate is "shape". I lost my shape 30 years ago, it's no big deal.

Why is everyone so certain that players will leave because Madge has been sacked? How do you know the whole squad wasn't completely off him and told Sheens that?
Time will tell if the decision was a good or bad one, it wasn't made hastily, it's his 4th Season in charge. I wish Madge every success and I don't dislike him, even the media (who love shit canning us) haven't criticised us over this.

True but jeez we need another decent recruit. One more on top of Pap and API would be ideal.

If Ciraldo signed we need to be careful of expectations.
I don't want to sign a coach just because he has a connection with players, our future needs more than that.
Just because he has been involved with some players doesn't mean they will come also.
Burton has another year to go, He may only want to play 5/8th. Who knows the Bulldogs pull out a coach he likes and they have cash to burn and offer him a deal of a lifetime, with our new coach wanting to keep Brooks around = Burton stays at the Bulldogs.
There is soooo much moving around atm with basically 4 new teams forming (Dolphins, Warriors, Bulldogs and Tigers) that will see an impact in various ways on who is available, what players get offered & who moves to what clubs based on connection
