Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

100%. You’ve got fools on here wanting to pass on players like Lodge because they think their personal experiences is more important than what’s best for the club .

Or you’ve got the morons who want to pass on players like A Critchon because the want to put their faith in our juniors, none of which will likely achieve even half of what A Critchon has.

Coincidentally, a lot of these people also think the club can do no wrong and it’s always the coaches fault. Bunch of simpletons whose footy knowledge wouldn’t fill an egg cup
How do you know they are not board members?

KIWI VETERAN EYES RETURN TO NRL

Former Kiwi international Elijah Taylor wants to return Down Under to finish his career in the NRL.

An experienced forward with more than 200 top-grade games to his name at the Warriors, Panthers, Tigers and Salford, 32-year-old Taylor is a tackling dynamo and a fine role model off the field.

He has played the past two seasons with Salford, where he has captained the club, and has several Super League clubs chasing him but would prefer to return to the NRL to finish his career.

"I feel I still have something to offer and would love to come back to the NRL," Kiwi-born Taylor told me.

Taylor isn't your average footballer - he is training to become a commercial airline pilot once his playing days are over.

I'd say yes; he gave us great service and we are lacking in his position. Deserves to retire a Tiger!
Not for the NRL side, but get him around the organisation and into a NSW Cup contract. Great role model for the kids.

Tackling machine I just wonder after he left did our defence get worse than when he was with us. , could be a cheap back up for injurys and solid help for the young guys , nice guy as well met him couple times

We'll have a few young forwards close to the NRL next year.

We do lack effort players like Elijah Taylor. If he was 26 I'd want him back in a heartbeat, but at 32 NRL has passed him by.

Good luck to him but he took some serious head knocks over the years.

Yes you did as your previous post clearly shows so own the absolutely ridiculous thing you both said and tried imply. You claimed that Lodge never lead us to a finals whilst he was here as a rookie which no one claimed despite your absurd attempt at shifting the argument.

And if you think Lodge is average with 125m per game and bending the line, then I can’t imagine what you think of our joke of a pack. Not to mention that the Roosters don’t seem to think he’s average but I’ll let you keep deluding yourself.

That’s fine that it’s a no Lodge from you. But be honest as to the reason why which is that you think your personal experiences should dictate which player the club signs regardless of what they can contribute to the team.
I couldn’t be bothered with your blah blah but it’s about quality people. If you don’t understand that then that’s on you. And don’t say I said bs when I didn’t.

He’s perfect! He can fly Pascoe and the board out of the country

Of course you can’t be because you don’t have a leg to stand on but that’s okay.

Don’t make me bring up the other posts, you’ve embarrassed yourself enough. You literally said that Lodge didn’t lead us to any finals while here. While he was a damn rookie. Just stop.

I'd take him back- at very least to the 30 man squad as back up. Defensive tyro and pretty mobile. Agree he gives a few penalties though. For the right place he would be a worthy team squad member.

It won’t matter how “know it all” and condescending some get, until you’ve expierienced a home invasion where someone has bashed you and is now about to do the same to you wife and kid you will never get it.
Still a No to Lodge for me. So I am obviously stupid when comes to footy.
Thanks for educating me.
Agree with the sentiments but please remember these are our family (PG13) friendly forumers!
