Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Nobody is suggesting we pay big dollars for him but he would be handy with the development of a few of our younger pigs.A 2 year contract for 2023/2024 with pawwa subbing part of it would be fine if we are paying no more than 200k ourselves.
We won't get him at 200k. His preference is Manly, who are offering 200k. Would need a significant upgrade on that to get him here.
I don't think he has lost it. He is barely on speaking terms with Arthur and his form reflects that.

Recalled Parramatta forward Nathan Brown said the past month has “been very tough” as he made his return to the top grade against the Tigers on Saturday night.

Brown has been in the headlines in recent weeks since being axed from the NRL. He has languished in reserve grade since round 14 and now faces an uncertain future at the Eels after being given permission to leave the club.

“It’s good to be back,” Brown said. “The legs don’t feel too bad. I always want to play first grade. I really enjoyed it.”

Despite having 12 months left on his $500,000 contract the ex-NSW forward is unlikely to remain at the Eels. His adversaries on Saturday night may be yet be his likely destination with the Tigers discussing a potential homecoming for the junior Tiger – who played one first grade game at the club in 2013.
Homecoming. No thanks.

He left and played during his peak at south's and Eels.

We shouldn't be the address club any more.

Tapine could be the forward leader our young forwards need
Herbie we should throw a big offer, he’s worth a 5 year investment
We could definitely use a hard nosed tradesman type second rower
I’m not a Brooks basher but not sure our halves are enough out of he, Hastings & Douehi, maybe also Laurie

There is absolutely no way Tapine, who wants to win a comp before he retires and is currently the best prop in the game, is joining us. Zero chance.

Brown, on a subsidised wage, would be very good.

He can cover 13, 12, 11, 10 and 8.

Still goes forward.

And the kids will need a protector.

Massively better than Tamou.

Might be time for sheens to give Kevie a call and remind him how we looked after his son,and its time for a favour
The young no.8 for Broncs today against Dragons (Pelosi is it?). He looked like a prospect- big, mobile, good motor and plenty of spirit.

Eels premiership drought to continue until 2027

Parramatta has started contract negotiations that could lead to gun halfback Mitch Moses being signed to the Eels for the rest of his NRL career.

Moses, who turns 28 in September, is under contract for 2023 and is expected to take up an option in his favour for 2024.

Discussions have now started for a new deal which could span a further three seasons – a deal which would see the brilliant halfback locked away until the end of 2027.

The overall deal would be worth more than $5m. Via DT
