Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Not excited about this at all. Won't play origin again, but he will still be asking for an 'origin' players salary.
He's a flat track bully and very clearly makes poor decisions under pressure.
This type of signing has been made by the Tigers plenty of times, but struggling to remember a time when it has paid off.
If we are going to pay 'origin' wages, Olakau'atu would be my choice.
edit; IP has been one of the most consistent performers in the entire league this year, exactly what the team needs, consistency.

Trouble is Olakau'atu is locked in with manly because they're not blind. As is Schuster and Keaon Kolamatangi at the Rabbits. Talakai would be an improvement on our roster and with whats available one of the best prospects to fix our backrower shortage.
Edit; short of Angus Crichton becoming available.

I watched a fair bit of Daine in junior reps and he was better at 6 then at 1 IMO. He played a bit in NSW cup at 6 and more than held his own.
You would think with our season over he would get a run to see how he goes. Our halves for next year are far from settled so throwing another one in to the mix couldn't hurt. I really don't think he should be our long term No 1.

Who says our halves are far from settled? The club hasn’t said anything in that regard.

It’s pure Sheenius.......a Centre who may play back row!!!

Luke Garner is such an astute pick up by the panthers, he does a lot of what Kikau does, and saves them so much money. He will thrive in their system, going to score a bucket of tries next year.
If he can put on a bit more size as well, which he's struggled with, he'll become a major worry for oppositions.

I know Joseph and his family fairly well. He doesn’t have an ego problem. I have found over the years that people who say negative things about Joey are people who he has carved up. Trust me, his Dad would knock that crap out of him if he showed any of that. He didn’t write all the headlines he got. But i do agree would love him here. He is a serious weapon.
Maybe you can put in a good word for us, get him over here. 😉

The kid is one heck of a talent, I wouldn't hesitate going all in for him right now as our fullback.

His frame, speed, awareness, hunger & ball play ability are awesome but his instincts for his age are off the chart. His style is very aligned to Turbo at the same age.
