Tumeth will be at Bulldogs, Parra or Tigers (probably) in that order. @THE_POM is on the money and the Club is confident but it should have happened weeks ago

From memory they were paying a few blokes to play elsewhere (like us with Mbye) on contracts that end this season.

We have released heaps of players and our cap must be in very good shape , yet u telling us that there not interested in spending for next year , no wonder our great club is in decline

They're just looking for more players like my AU FalconLPG ute - no modern features; don't have power; and either though they should be on the scrapheap can be bought for a song.

We need to start recognising which players have it! and which players don't
I think the players breakdown into just a few categories
1. NRL level footballer with instinctive skills and in form and working hard
2. Same as above only temporarily out of form or playing unmotivated
3. Players that are just not NRL level footballers no instinct error prone and just do their best but its a struggle .These types will never win you a game
4. Same as in 3. but seem totally out of their depth

We have in our roster a few in the top 2 categories like Laurie ,Nofo, Kenny
, Hastings , Douehi, and maybe Brooks?
Also Joffa,Steph, Nubrown ,Twal and maybe Musgrove and Pole
I don't care about those playing elsewhere next year
We have too many in categories 3. And 4.
The category 2 players we can do something with like coaching but players that just don't have enough footy smarts or skill just will not help the club turnaround
PS : their are some I just don't know yet like Rua and Blore

Toovey isn't a defensive coach.

Ricky Stuart really toughened up Cronulla but dragged them to the spoon. I kind of wonder about Flanagan if he got enough defensive insight from Stuart.

If Parra fire Brad Arthur, IMHO greater then Sheens.

The storm are probably going to try and pinch someone good to continue in Bellamy's footsteps. Would be great if Bellamy gets the itch to coach again, but doubt that will happen (and it wouldn't happen for us).

Sheens > Madge IMHO...

Good post. With the Sharks, I believe Luke Lewis had much to do with the change in culture at the club. He was a professional and Sheens recognised this and we were very unlucky not to get him at our club.

This is the problem with putting all our hopes on the juniors. If the first grade side is still absolute trash when they are ready to step up they will just go elsewhere.
