With comments like that - the only one who’s wearing blinkers here is you guys…

How come when Benji and Farah take us to 9th, 10th or 12th - they’re club immortals…
Anyone else does it - they’re a complete failure?
Simple… they had proven talent.
State of Origin and Australia for Farah and Golden Boot and New Zealand for Benji.
Oh … and they both won a comp . 🤣

I don't know, might have something to do with the fact that Benji and Farah gave us a premiership while your child has been masquerading as a first grade halfback for nearly a decade and can barely kick for touch let alone organise a team.

Staines - Peachey swap should be finalised soon. Penrith just working our cap dispensations for Peachey with the NRL.

Leniu and Klemmer are both likely. Few clubs in for Leniu. Sneaky whisper that Simpkin may go to Penrith, not sure if that’s permanently or on loan.
Wow. We add those two and we go from having easily the worst forward pack to an arguably top 8 pack (provided everyone can stay healthy). Stef, Pole, Leniu, Klemmer, Api, Leniu, Blore, and IP has a nice blend of youth, experience, and aggression which we haven't had since Gareth Ellis was here.

To be fair, as much as fans like to label Twal as a 'plodder' you could see the difference in the defensive effort in the middle after Twal was injured. He's not you're athletic powerful front rower we all love to see progress over the advantage line. He won't be the direct reason you score a try in a game, but he will be the guy who prevents 12 being scored...

Every team needs a mix of both. The problem isn't twal.

Like that time Twal started and Melbourne put 40 points on us in 40 minutes?

Its
Attack is all Hastings...Brooks adds nothing .. ,great defender that he may be
and dont even get me started on his kicking game!
Many of us feel Brooks has had more than ample opportunity to make a difference in attack but hasnt delivered, and both parties wld benefit from a fresh start at the Knights or elsewhere
We've been a pretty poor side for the entirely of Brooks' career. Yet during that time our attack is typically ranked middle of the table whereas our defence is typically ranked amongst the bottom few teams on the table. (Can't be bothered getting the exact rankings but they are easy to find for anyone that doubts it) On these numbers, how do you hold the halfback responsible?

If Brooks went to Melbourne 4 years ago he would be better then Jerome Hughes
Just a same he has never had the chance to really shin

2021 fox stats had Brooks equal with Hughes for try assists. Though from memory I think he played a couple extra games.
But still, if he can match Hughes for TAs when playing at the Tigers, how many would he have got at the Storm

Is there two of you?
Your Brooks posts are often poles apart.

Thanks for info @CCTW . Does this prop/lock rotation mean Hastings is being viewed as a halfback moving foward & Blore still in backrow?

The style of footy to expect next season will be much different. It will be centred on pushing forward and creating second phase play which Klemmer will help with his offloading. If they can find a suitor, Musgrove would be most likely to go. IF everything goes to plan, we would see a Stefano, Klemmer, Leniu, Offa, Twal and Pole rotation in matchday squads - for both prop positions and lock. Neither Klem or Leniu have officially committed at this stage and there is much more movement this off season so nothing is a for-gone conclusion yet. Players have a habit of committing verbally and officially committing elsewhere.

Pole has also been talked about off the bench as an edge backrower rower. For the eagle eyed viewer, you would have noticed Pole playing in the backrow at the end of the year, for this reason. All but one would likely be in reserve grade or extended bench. Twal has value in his defensive efforts and a favourite of Benji and Farah. Fainu and Tuki need another season in KOE.

Personally think there are too many hurdles with Bateman to get a deal done. Don't think its the worst thing as Blore has been really putting the extra efforts in the gym and in rehab over the year, same with Talau. Both seem to have really bought in and are determined to re-pay the fans and the club.

I personally believe that the player that will break out next season and have us all talking is Tommy Talau. A move to the middle of the park will suit his skill set. His footwork and skill around the ruck is perfect for the modern game and matches the style of footy that made him an Australian Schoolboy.

Lenui is a Western Sydney boy through and through and wants to stay out west. Tigers are the most realistic option in terms of him staying out west and allowing him to be a starting prop. Api has been in his ear, same with Staines.

Bulldogs, Dragons and Manly also after him. I have heard separately that Penrith are interested in Simpkin but no idea or info if that has been offered as a swap or anything like that. That info about Simpkin is less reliable but would make sense given that Penrith are losing Api and do not have a proven hooker in their squad.
Hopefully Api wasn't in his ear Sunday night/Monday morning (we know his mindset then haha).

Thanks for all the updates @CCTW! Fingers crossed they come through, as it will make a massive difference to our squad running out next year.

Mate the question is how many would Hughes have if he played for the MightyTigers and I don't think more then Brooks with no Grant Munster Paps Nico and co for 21 no help at the Tiger's for him you have to do it all your self bring your own tools to work for Brooks

Good info form CCTW.

Interesting about Pole possibly moving to edge backrow so we can accommodate all these middles. I can see that, with his footwork at the line.

Has there been a change in tact from having a ball playing lock like Hastings, to a bigger physical pack?

Been saying for a while now Pole is your rough diamond Sirro.
I can't believe why some are saying he's overrated,
He's probably a bit green having just started his NRL career but he has a big future ahead of him imo.

It was easy to observe things happen when Pole is involved, whether it is stepping to earn good metres or his quick play the balls. He is only 20 as well in a pack that is usually on the backfoot.

Agree. He reminds me of a bit like Papali'i. Built close to the ground and very strong.
He will benefit from an organized hooker in Api. I suspect Pole will be hitting sone flat balls close to the line next year.

Oh I've been a big fan of his since his debut. Big motor for a young guy, mobile, late footwork, and commits hard to to effort areas on and off the ball. Great young player. Can he be effective on an edge though? That's the rough diamond part for me.

I think so. A bit of a utility factor...edge-middle.
He's still got some growing and learning to do. He showed glimpses of quality this year in an ordinary forward pack so what's he going to like when he's learnt his trade and playing in a better pack/team. Sorry for repeating other posts.
Sheens might have something else in-store for the lad playing a James Graham type role but maybe not next year as I haven't seen much of his passing, link and offloads.
I think Sheens will have him concentrating on energy plays and quick play the balls.
Let's reflect on this Sirro in a year or two.. 👍

With Pole possibly moving to an edge and Talau likely moving to the forwards (second row no doubt), what will be the situation for Matamua and Kautoga? Will 2024 be their year?
