Why would we let Simpkin go if we’ve already offloaded Liddle and possibly Nu Brown, unless Simpkin is saying I don’t want to be the regular Reggie’s hooker and Sheens can see some leverage in it?

Jim Jones was doing junior development whilst Gus was at the Roosters. Matt Cameron was a school teacher/coach at Blacktown Patties and junior development officer with Parra whilst Gus was at Roosters. Jim Jones brought Matt Cameron to Penrith and aligned Panthers with Patties Blacktown. They set up JETS Program (Junior Elite Training Squads) before Gus was at Penrith. They established the systems that they currently have. Gus got the funds from Packer to build the centre of excellence but he didn’t establish any of their programs. I was involved back then with the JETS program.
