Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Sheens was sacked after 1 year after he signed a 5 year contract if my memory is correct. The side finished 10th after a terrible run of injuries, he sued to recover the money he was owed. The club didn't want to pay him out. Previous 2 years we finished 3rd and 4th. Farah and Marshall are the best 2 players to play for the West Tigers in my opinion, they were both treated shamelessly, as was another legend, Chris Heighington. If you want loyalty from players, you look after them. It works both ways.
I can see some of your points but lets fast forward to 2022/2023....
Sheens...hasnt coached in NRL for over 10 years, the game has changed dramatically ( one of the reasons that Madge was sacked because the game passed him by ..apparently)...
Benji ...great footballer in his younger days....being great as a player and media personality doesnt really convince me that in 3 years time he will be the great coach to take on a top NRL squad with its high demands...we can only see how it works out..
Farah....great player..but had to much to say because of his loyalty and experience in the club...the Potter not getting resigned because of the Farah statement"Potter cant coach"..
You talk about loyalty,Brooks has kept his spot for 10 years as the loyal 1/2 back with different coaches....he has failed to lead us to finals within that time...
There are many arguments to be had, however my main point is if we are to succeed as a top NRL team, our club and the way the admin work and communicate needs to get on board with recruiting players with experience from outside the normal club frame work ie not employing players that left the club in dissaray eg Moses,Brown Lodge etc but gain top quality as Madge has done ...Api Papi ...its up to Sheens to build around these guys with talented youth and genuine older experienced guys that want to help lead the youth,Hastings is a perfect example...
As far as Im concerned the Sheens,Benji Farah deal is an experiment to see if the old boys club can resurect the glory days or completely ruin the club and team...
Just my opinion, but we need SUCESS in 2023 and by that I mean progressing up the ladder with consistent games week in week out,not win a thriller one week and get flogged the next 2 by 30/40 points....

No idea. Probably born 2000?
It’s a smart move by the club to prospect in Rugby Union. Most players never heard of Wests Tigers I imagine?
Houston went to St Joseph’s in 2017 - had plenty of go in him. Not sure how his defence will go in league but has plenty of ticker. Backs up from the inside and had pace for a flanker and scored many tries - match winner

Houston goes OK for galloping greens, the defence will be a fair bit different nut he seems to be in the crichton type mould so it could work.
I see RTS has been released from All Blacks after the close win over Japan. This might be enough for RTS to be like stuff union I want back in league, never know hope Sheens is at least asking
