I reckon we would have got Klemmer anyway- he wanted out and they didn’t want him either. We don't get Klemmer for 400k without giving them something.
I am a massive Hastings fan and wanted to extend him but with his options to either stay here at 13 and get beat up each week OR go to Knights for a lot more and extended for 3 years it works for all parties. Clearly Sheens / Benji want to keep Brooks so it's a business decision and we made the most of it.
I do agree we should have had a better back up plan especially if we don't snag Moses but the club needed to make the call back then instead of waiting for Moses to decide and he still hasn't. Imagine we waited for Moses to decide we would have missed Klemmer and most like Bateman as well.
I think we won't get Moses (hope we do) but I also think we have a way better team this year and the halves of Brooks / AD / Daine L / Wakham etc will be fine behind the best pack we have had for like 10 years.
Facebook yet to confirm.Under 8s don't count
A fair bet but we needed klemmer more and the further it went the more chances of another team getting in for a trade.I reckon we would have got Klemmer anyway- he wanted out and they didn’t want him either.
Ray stone aswell. About all he can do thoughI someone like Victor Radley would best him pound for pound… comfortably
Note that's outright salary, not including any other benefits/TPA's. Eels offer is $1.1mill plus extras.Hard to see him making such a big move at this stage of his career for 100-150k….
Just because our club is confident on him signing doesn’t mean he willThe club is very confident that Moses will be putting pen to paper at this Thursdays meeting.
A 4 year deal worth close to $1.4mill per season (can't confirm but a 5 year may be a mutual option).
All "requirements" per his managements discussions have been met & our offer is better than the Eels.
Since Farnworth has informed other clubs of his intent to stay at Broncos the club has changed focus to Dominic Young, very early talk just gauging his price point.
Daine Laurie is looking likely to take up the current 1 year extension being offered, he wants 2 years or more but club not budging on this.
Talk of Seyfarth looking to move on is true, club happy to keep him for 2023 season but won't stand in his way of long term offer if it comes forward.
Laurie will be fullback round 1, Staines too quiet for Sheens liking & "needs to find his voice" to be any chance of taking the 1 off Laurie, Bula is nipping at their heels but a roster spot would need to be freed for him to play prior to round 10.
Club has also held talk with Fletcher Baker from the Roosters.
Agree, but why have a face to face & written contract in play this late.Just because our club is confident on him signing doesn’t mean he will
Scolari is a bundle of energy and never stops talkin on the pitch. He’s also clocking faster sprint times now than he was before his injury.
Thanks for the info pom, if Moses does come along do you think there is any chance Doueihi stays? Could a manu role work for him?The club is very confident that Moses will be putting pen to paper at this Thursdays meeting.

It may have been nuts ten years ago, but the market and cap have changed, albeit at the slowest rate ever.If that 1.4m is all cap, that's nuts. I mean he is better than what we have in the halves and he'll probably carry us to the eight but for that money plus TPA's on top you'd want a Cooper Cronk or Nathan Cleary.
Thank for posting also if Alex went to another club would Bula be first choice for top 30 or would they look to replace with a forward?Agree, but why have a face to face & written contract in play this late.

Regardless, we were going to have to offer a sizeable deal anyway which would impact our cap.
But this offer is more than just about Moses wages. Whether you love Moses or not, getting his signature is significant; it shows real intent, gives some belief back to the fans, puts us back on the competition map, helps future recruitment and lays proper foundations for a sustainable rebuild.
For that alone it is worth it.
He hits pretty hard.Usually hits too high but 😂I someone like Victor Radley would best him pound for pound… comfortably
At least we now have a date. This Thursday. Hopefully the saga will be over. You don’t come into a face to face meeting to knock back a contract. Munster didn’t even ring Bennett to let him know he wasn’t coming. Buckle up boys, he’s coming home.
