Kikau helps Bulldogs snare promising forward from Tigers

The Wests Tigers are privately fuming over losing one of their brightest young stars to the Bulldogs.
Kitione Kautoga, who made his one and only NRL appearance for the Tigers against the Dragons in round 24 last year, is on his way to Belmore.
The Fijian forward, who scored three tries in NSW Cup in the opening round, was brought to the Tigers by former general manager Adam Hartigan. Hartigan is now at the Bulldogs working with Phil Gould.
The pair organised for Kautoga to meet with coach Cameron Ciraldo and his idol Viliame Kikau. It was enough to get him over the line.
The Tigers requested a $160,000 transfer fee from the Bulldogs to release him this year, but that doesn’t look like happening.

He should be demoted to Ron Massey cup. No point in developing him in KOE if he's jumping ship to the salary cap-free dogs next year.

Players we should discuss;

Declan Casey (Bulldogs)
Kaeo Weeks (Manly)
Will Kennedy (Sharks)
Dean Hawkins (South)

Off contract this year.

And off contract next year- early release, maybe.
Deine Mariner (Broncos)
Kayak Iro (Sharks)
Rocco Berry (Warriors)
Nick Meany (Storm)
Tyrell Sloane (Dragons)

Sign a couple of these and they walk straight into our backline

Absolute joke. He’ll be on the list of “players the WT let go” along with all the other stupid decisions.

Dead set, we’ve chosen Tumeth over this bloke.

No doubt Katouga was one of the players we told Ciraldo about during his “interview” process. And Ciraldo has gone after him straight away. I wonder who’ll be next?

Hopeless

Bloody dogs always beating us in recruitment. What's the point in developing him any further. Our roster has so many holes we lack a class center a fullback and a controlling half. We need to be careful with our cap we only have one or two players capable of turning a game in our favour really need to move Laurie, Noffa and Brooks on maybe even Ken if he can't get over his injuries.

Yeah, they've beat out... no one. They beat no one to his signature. The guy started a GF and was very openly in the market and it took until the start of the next season to get a club.

They've also signed Dylan Napa. And Oliver Gildart. And Junior Pauga. And Matt Lodge. We're dumb, sure, but it's not because of Nathan Brown.
Didn't Gildart sign with the Dolphins .. ?? or has he gone back to the Rorters .. ??

I would pay Nofo's freight to FO.

Bula will get time this season. A class centre would also be good although Kepaoa has started the year on fire IMO (albeit at 2nd row). Feledy and Saukuru hopefully adding competition at some point.

ESL for Seyfarth, Brooks and Ken.

It was pretty obvious this had happened since he is clearly our best second row option and he wasn't getting any game time.
