It's a disaster isn't it. We need the best 2 spine players from the ESL. That could turn this team around.

Dean Hawkins from Souths would be an improvement. But that’s not hard.

Squad has a long way to go.

The squad looks fine, they showed resilience in defence, granted Melbourne didn't throw much but we can only defend what's thrown at us.
The forwards look great going down field. We need guys pushing up looking for the offload and our halves are a real problem. Once we get a decent set of halves who can control a game and who don't stuff up the good work of their team mates then we will win quite a few more games.

I would look at these 4 to start with.

George Williams - Pay the transfer fee as it Worth it.
Brayden Trindall - Unlikely Sharks would let him go
Mitchell Pearse - Short term and knows how to play 7
Toby Sexton - Happy to give him a go as he has some potential unlike Brooks

For the Love of GOD Brooks needs to go and 80% of the fans base knows this so hope Sheen's can read the room.

Cody Walker wanted Hawkins to replace Reynolds, not Illias, because they play the same style of game. We could do with that style of game.

TBH I think we would take anyone over Brooks but we all know he will be extended and our pain will continue..

Signed a long-term deal in England recently but I wouldn't mind giving Brodie Croft a go.

He always had a bit of talent and won man of steel over there. I think he's starting to come of age as a footballer and at only 25, best years ahead.

Sure he wasn't great here, but he was thrust into the Melbourne team at 20 to replace Cronk which is a tough act to follow and then was victim to that Seibold disaster in Brisbane. Won't ever be a world beater, but could very well be a Hastings level player without the off-field headaches.

Selections and squad continue to be an issue. Again round 5 and still no idea out top 17 should be sorted round 1
