Firstly Brooks is playing well this season. It's nothing to do with waiting for Brooks to come good. That boat has sailed. You are seeing Brooks play well. He has put on some great tries in the attacking zone and he has controlled games. If you are waiting for him to be a marquee player than you are going to be disappointed because in all his time in the NRL he has never been a marquee player and I can't see that changing at any point in his career. There are very few marquee players in the game. If anything I think Brooks is playing well above himself because he has completely outplayed several quality representative halves this season.
Secondly we need two halves.
Can we get better than Walker and Brooks for next season ? Personally I think there is no chance at all of this happening. I don't think we'll get one half better than Brooks.
Walker if we could get him though would have to be about the best option we can get.
Yeah 100% mate, he will be at dolphins in no time I reconReturn to Queensland I'd say.
Absolute passenger so farI always liked our chances of landing someone below the radar and a couple of months ago was suggesting we look at Ronald Volkman but tonight he's making his Nrl debut for Warriors vs Dogs . Coach Webster just said he's a very quick distributor of the ball and will take pressure off Shaun Johnson
About to watch see how he goes
Another Mason Lino perhapsAbsolute passenger so far
Roosters are really brutal. The players they drop, never seem to recover and stay scarred for life. Kyle Flanagan is one that comes to mind.I think Sam’s decision will have a lot of influence from his uncle and father. They both obviously have a different way of looking at the game.
Enter Benji and Sheens.
If they can sell the vision to young walker and the two older walkers I can see us with a good chance of landing him. Benji was always told if he could do it at training he could do in a game.
I think Sam has a more free and expansive style of game that probably doesn’t work at Roosters.
Looks good as long as they don’t defend as poorly as AD.6: Josh Schuster
7:sam walker
All out attack as we were promised
He is better at 13 but he doesn’t want take hit upsThought Smith has always been overrated, to me hes the perfect bench impact player not your starting hooker.
From a young hot head off the cuff to a controlled half who still has the flash but not as fast as he use to be he picks his moments better nowShaun Johnson is in near career best form. He's evolved his game
He’s playing as an edge forward, but he’s capable of doing both and is a great player, very under rated.I like Josh Curran as a middle forward too
He’s more controlled and less frantic in his play than what he was previously.Johnson is putting on a clinic at the moment.
I can’t imagine the Warriors giving him 2 more years given they’ve invested in Volkman, Metcalf and even Dylan Walker. We’d have to be a chance of getting him.
Shaun Johnson at 7 outside of a much much lower paid Luke Brooks. Averillo at centre and Josh Curran at lock and we're comfortably a top 8 and side IMOHe’s more controlled and less frantic in his play than what he was previously.
He’d be a great pick up and if he decided to come back to Australia.
I’d say Wests Tigers would be a good chance with Benji’s influence, but I think it’s next to no chance he will leave the Warriors,
