Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Robinson is a myth in my opinion. Has been gifted the best roster, at the richest club and has constantly has his pickings of recruits for the last 10 years.

The talk of him being on the level of Bellamy or Bennett is hilarious.

Roosters are due a slide.

If they can't find a halfback by the time they lose teddy and JWH, they're in trouble.

Always said he is a myth.

I think Sam’s decision will have a lot of influence from his uncle and father. They both obviously have a different way of looking at the game.

Enter Benji and Sheens.

If they can sell the vision to young walker and the two older walkers I can see us with a good chance of landing him. Benji was always told if he could do it at training he could do in a game.

I think Sam has a more free and expansive style of game that probably doesn’t work at Roosters.

I see it like that too. IMO, the only thing that will prevent Sam from coming is simply the Wests Tigers stigma. I actually believe they would be very tempted but probably won't have the guts to make the jump. I don't say "guts" disrespectfully, I wouldn't blame them, it's a huge risk for him to come to Wests Tigers.

Once he learns to play a little straighter he will be a superstar.

Unfortunately you’re right and the Walkers always played for the glamour clubs.

That’s where Benji and Sheens need to sell the vision of an expansive style in attack, we haven’t seen it yet but I’m hoping we’re building towards it.

The reality of that vision I think is the playing group play better with simple footy

Both Walker brothers respect Wayne Bennett so Dolphins are a big chance and have the cash to splash

This!! Sam is more of an attacking style half, he will make errors but when his confidence is on the kid is a pure match winner.

Shenji should go all in for Walker if it’s an option.

If we were to get Walker - who would play 7 ?

I couldn't see a Walker x Brooks pairing work ?

Walker x Sean Johnson, no good either.

Sam walker is getting shopped around by the roosters
If this is true, I can't understand how any player could consider themselves loyal to the Roosters, when the truth is the Roosters will dump you in a hearbeat if you don't deliver for any short period.

The whole thing about the Roosters is they are "supposed to take care of you" even if other clubs can offer bigger salaries, which means they put you in contact with the appropriate people to meet your needs and set you up for a life outside of football.

But you play average footy for a few months and they want to cut you loose. It's ruthless and I wish Tigers could afford to do the same thing, but my question is more about how does this engender loyalty? It would start to make people pissed off, if only the elite players receive the unconditional love, and everyone else is only a bad season away from being sent to the Gold Coast.

I still have concerns, he will never get over how small he is and any decent team will run traffic at him all day every day. He's such a slight fellow, even compared to a former skinny turnstyle like Mitchell Moses, Walker is a grade smaller again.
