The team is better. We aren’t playing much better though.
Some changes in the coaching ranks might help.

I’m glad we put a couple of wins together to keep morale up. It would have been tragic to lose the Penrith or Saints games because we definitely could have at the death in both games.

We fought hard against Souths, but the inability to convert our possession into points was obvious.

I think we have a good chance against the Cowboys if we turn up like the last 6 weeks. I just worry about where the points will come from, but we’ll be in the game for sure!

Thats the issue, our halves are useless, no other team would swap their 7 for Brooks, and no other team would swap their 6 for Wakeham, we need at least 2 new halves at a minimum

Furner has done a good job with our D.

You don’t feel we’re close if we can get some competent halves? Brooks has had multiple coaches…who would you suggest would get the best out of him? Do we really want a player that only 1 in 100 coaches can get him to perform?

I’m not having a go, but genuinely curious as I’m personally stumped on the Brooks conundrum and I think it’s better we move on and try someone new rather than persevere with him.

We are doing everything else right but once we get to the redzone we look lost & out of ideas. That's ultimately down to our halves.... fix that & we win more games then we lose.

I agree but we still fall out of games during important periods.
We can get downfield and Brooks’s general kicking is a factor in this however we can’t seal the deal.
I will say, our attack has regressed this year despite all the pre season bluster.

Agree with that. Attack is hideous.

The lapses will happen, but they are compounded by the fact we can’t score.

12 points against us is like having 24 points put on another team. We only have 6-18 points in us per game right now, but other teams have 20-30 in them.

It’s a huge problem.

There were some moments on the weekend where we shifted wide and looked a bit more dangerous than previous weeks, but we couldn’t find the last pass to get in the clear.

Even though we are losing games, I’m actually a lot happier to watch the team play this year because they are having a dig. Last year was demoralising to watch.
 
have to laugh at some on here. They continually bang on about we should be like the ruthless clubs who move on under performers but when we move on an underperforming forward who is only playing 40 minutes a game and is way overpaid for that role its the worst move the club has made.

agree. kudos to the club for making a tough decision. Now for that halfback and centre !

Who’s fault is it he is only playing 40?
Who signed him to that deal only 6 months ago?
How much are we losing on this deal?

We cleared the decks last year and bought in nobodies, we loaned out players and left ourselves short i have no faith.
If the club wanted rid of whats considered a bad deal moneywise why did they resign him and on so much, its just more poor management over and over again. I'd be delighted to be proven wrong but history tells me i wont be.

Devil's advocate for this deal, he was resigned prior to us getting in Klemmer and Bateman and on current form Joe has gone from leader of the pack to performing worse than Stefano, Twal and Pole whilst being paid alot more than them.

Not arguing with you with alot of what you have written, just hoping that Fulton's influence is a catalyst for improvement.

We are getting something in return, it is extra money about $400.00 for the rest of this year, and a further $1.2 ml for 2024 & 2045.
Total saving $1.6 ml.

Going by figures I have seen on WTF.

You do realise reserve grade, Is reserve grade so they can play in the next grade up if they need a RESERVE.

AND ALSO TO GAIN THE EXPERIENCE IN THE HIGHER GRADE.
OR THATS WHAT BEING A RESERVE USED TO BE.
