He does have a point. Broncos have a very decent pipe and development. Now that the Dolphins are in town + Titans also looking at pinching talent we should see the Broncos struggle a little more.

It can be triggered by either party…..but both parties need to agree to the decision the other party triggered.

They’d be doing that on signing the contract….

Good business with a man like Wayne Bennett is to keep lines of communication open until the option is completely off the table. Yes, I don’t believe we have good business operators at our club. They make it up as they go. Fans might not have been happy for what two or three months, but we may of ended up with a circuit breaker too.

No disrespect - biggest myth in the game that it needs to be triggered by both. It’s in place to give both parties an even shot at triggering it.

this was my understanding also, though ive never been 100% sure. If it needed to be 'triggerd' by both parties, then the option is redundant it would be simply a contract extension.

Fair enough, would have been interesting to see if Wayne could have done any better than Madge with all those ridiculous contracts. Hiding to nothing that job anyway.

I think he’d have got more out of the squad, not taken a punt on Jimmy and BJ… and probably jagged a couple good signings…

Dunno we’d have underwent a massive 180 - but he’s a better coach and man manager than ole Madge it’s fair to say…

I suspect it’s Justin’s trick to keeping money in the bank. Cut corners on the roster and tell everybody the club is in great financial order. Meanwhile the coach is running out kids from SG Ball.

We still have to spend 95% of the cap each year mate.

I have heard that we have front loaded a lot of contracts with the available $$.

Hard to be optimistic until we hear or see some new signings. But they will come.

AND State cup 6 and 7 who can genuinely play NRL if needed.

Even if Wakeham is kept...it is still three more.

Managers for blokes like Volkam and Trindall will be able to ask for 2-300 000 more from us than they otherwise will get as every man and his dog knows we are desperate.

I’ll throw a name out there I’m not 100% on my thoughts on it but curious to see what everyone thinks though.

Luai is free to talk to clubs November 1st.

We also now have no 6 or 7 at the club with Brooks going. With all his mates leaving and getting upgraded like Leniu and Crita. Edwards apparently due for a big upgrade as well around the 900k-1m mark with the cap increase can Penrith offer him a good deal? Martin coming off contract too he’s gonna get upgraded plus Cleary, Yeo and JFH making good coin.

We have some former Penrith boys here too and he’s also a western Sydney boys. All I’ll say is he’s still only 26 and imo I’ve always seen that he gets up for the big games and that’s. quality that is rare. Love him or hate him he can play footy and is a SOS rep. If he’s available would yous want him?
