I agree we do lack depth as our current depth is mainly juniors etc
but that is a very good forward pack IMO.
Ask any halfback and their main concern is a forward pack they can play behind and this year this forward pack has been 100% better than past years.

If we have a decent 7 this year I believe we would be close to the top 8 if not in there.

All I was saying is if I'm a young half and wanted an opportunity to play 1st grade this is a better place than some other clubs.

We all want the same thing and that's to win so fingers crossed we get some halves soon

at present fainu if he comes here has no 7 to play with. Tartak would be an idiot to push Fainu towards tigers until we can show we have someone to replace Brooks with

Mark my words , the foundation will crumble if we don’t sign a class 1/2 and 5/8 for next season , it will start with Bateman wanting to go then papa , then api , then the damn will open . If benji and Fulton can’t find a half’s combo and a ball playing lock for next season , the above will be on the cards

I'm looking forward to seeing who the 6 and 7 will be next year.

Yes mid tier. Playing Bateman at 13 doesn't make him one it is as big a hole in our roster as our halves. And so light on there isn't even someone good enough to list in jersey 17.
You can do the same (name player and achievements) for almost every NRL club.
9th Titans. 3 Origin Players, 2 premiership winners. (And recently smashed our pack).
10th. Cowboys. 7 players either tier 1 Internationals or origin experience
11th Dolphins. 6 Players tier 1 International or Origin experience.

Our pack is no better than the majority of teams, hence mid tier.
It is however definitely better than what we've had for some time and good enough that the team could be successful with a few quality additions.
But if I were a young half I would not be prepared to gamble my career on it being enough unless the other additions were signed first.
