How quickly you forget,Johny Cronk aka John Morris was a backup hooker from Newie who Sheens claimed would be our "Cooper Cronk" and be a great half for us.The poor bloke was completely unsuited to the position but for 3 years Tim kept on banging the square peg into the round hole hoping it would work.It was destroying Morris as a player and our team at the time.
For me and many others that was the end of the honeymoon for Tim not because he got it wrong but because he was so stubborn and pig headed he would not admit he was wrong and make adjustments.I was pleased for Morris when he finally went to the sharks and played in his correct position and did a decent job.
I will always appreciate 2005 and his years before it but i will never give him plaudits for his many stuffups.This year is looking like one of his worst years because he has learned nothing and still will not admit to his mistakes

Yep, the absolute minority of posters on here said this when word came through we’d bring him back.
For some reason many were of the mind to forgive and or forget.
He gave us the spoon in 2022 through decisions as football director.
He is on track to give us the spoon in 2023 as coach.
2024 currently looks not much better…and then he’s going to piss off and leave us with Benji as coach.

There u go again, the Sheens bashing. Years before it?? 2010&2011 were also good years should of really won in 11. But before 2005?? I think your drinking the cool aid again!
Totally don’t agree on this year so far, last year yes, but that was always a train wreck with the Maguire free fall that was only going one way since he got here.
This year we have won a truck load of stats in games that should of won us a lot more games if it wasn’t for poor halves. I think this year has been ok considering that, mostly because of api. Klemmer and Bateman have also been great. Look with all the injuries to key players we could finish the year of poorly. Sheens was always planning to get a controlling half so brooks can play his natural game as a ball runner. It’s amazing that in 10 years of various lame coaches could not recognise that brooks doesn’t have the ability to control a team/game.
With us stinking it up for so long and the rarity is great controlling halves these days, it’s hardly surprising that we can’t land one!
Look at the flogs they are one win ahead of us with a hundred more points against. With the great Gus gold buying all the best players and coaches in the comp, not doing much better than us. So just stop going from topic to topic bringing up all your hate!

I do agree with u about the goldfish Morris, that was one of his worst moves. But what about the great picks like bunji, Farah, Lawrence, bula, etc, etc. just don’t think he had many options this year, we got the best players we could get, considering our recent past.

There is no hate from me in regards to anyone and i am balanced in my views because i have praised Sheens in the past from when he first started with us when he was building the foundations for our sole premiership but that does not give him Carte Blanche for his stuffups,you however seem to believe it does.You are the one who lacks any objectivity also i really could not care less whatever any other clubs are failing at as i want us to succeed and only succeed.As many people have stated on here justifying Sheens return as coach that "It is a results driven game"suddenly are no longer saying it because we are playing terrible and Sheens is coach and failing miserably.
This team is the best team we have had in a decade imho and i picked us to have an 11/13 season and probably just miss the 8,on our current form and trajectory we will not get close.

I have stated on many occasions that Sheens got many things right when he started with us but that was 2 decades ago and you can't live on that forever.Benji Robbie and Lawrence were great young players and it is possible Bula will become one,i certainly hope so

Whatever happened to Lachlan Lewis. He stole a soundbar he didn't murder anyone. How has he completely disappeared?

Sheens faces exactly the same problems previous coaches have faced but have carried the blame for - the inability of this club to compete against others to recruit/ retain talent - young and experienced.
Trading on his past achievements does not work at this club - didn't for Maguire or Cleary who faced the same barriers. You can't pick and choose which coaches to bash while excusing another because to date they have all failed with squads that have just not been good enough - not just to win a competition but to even make the eight.
And the blokes at the top do very little to change the stink around the club but still they are the one constant.

The trouble with our club was they did not go down the pathways road ten years ago when the slump first started. Instead they kept blowing the cap on average players trying to get instant success.

The NRL has always had a shortage of available talent and when it becomes available it goes to the better teams not the lower teams that’s why the pathways system is our future. Okay we will have talent defect to the better teams like Moses and Teddy but you have to keep producing the talent to fill the gaps, because we can’t attract the talent from outside

We probably see about 1 percent on what goes on at the club so hard to comment.

Who know if its a selection or recruitment issue.

It's not like he working at the Roosters.

One thing that Madge spoke about also in signing players is captain material as well as ability . Blore and felody were both captains I believe.
Rua is captain of cup
Captains are generally mentally tougher which is something that the tigers have lacked for years
It’s really the only reason why Hastings gets a lot of love imo

Hence why he was sacked by 2 clubs in the super league
 
I think Sheens circa 2023 is more the public face of the club than the head coach. I think Benji, Farah and Furner do the coaching. Sure he would have plenty of input and probably does a lot of the motivational stuff. The media seem to give him a lot of respect and that takes some heat off the club. I see his role at the club to be like uncle Wayne at the Dolphins.

Personally although I was one of the people banging for his sacking all those years ago, I am happy to give the present set up a couple of years. Coaches,CEO’s and a strong boardroom make a difference, but at the end of the day it’s your roster that wins matches

It won’t be long and API Bateman Klemmer etc will be sick of creating great stats that are turned into nothing and will be looking to move on + our youngsters won’t be far behind
