To be fair, you'd probably be put through some kind of counselling, a mediator would sit everyone down, and your feelings and triggers would get examined.

Your employer would likely end up feeling like the bad guy.

No way in hell we'd release him paying almost 400k of this salary. We'll chip in but clubs will need to pay about half

Seems awfully premature to be talking strategical appointments on the first day of pre season training. If that happened, which is unlikely, then it’s a huge error of judgement.
Everything else you wrote is probably close to the mark as we’ve seen the club try and shop him around for a while now.

If he turned up to pre season not fit enough to perform training which has been reported, then I would absolutely hope we told him as punishment for letting himself go he'd be starting the year in Cup

But many players come back to pre season a bit overweight and not at peak fitness (several at. Other clubs in the media)
It's either all starting in reggies for that, otherwise this is the unfairness he is talking about
 
I dunno... We will never know the entire story and it's hard to gauge just what angles all. Concerned are coming from.
If the story's 100%.accyrate then fair enough rip in and give him both barrels... But we all know the media aren't shy in making stories juicier... I just don't like the pile on happening here from many... doesnt really seem like a fair fight when we've only heard one side of the story

Player or club?

If it’s from tne player… perhaps he is angling to get a release to go another club…

in any case … might be time to cut bait…they will probably end up having to pay the majority of his contract …but time to move on

Not if he had been informed of expectations in regard to fitness/performance when he returned. He is a senior member of the playing group and is expected to lead and set standards. If he isn't prepared to do that, he needs to get on his bike, Also, he played with Marshall and is well aware he is a new coach. Marshall should not have to be dealing with a senior player who is struggling with fitness.

That may well be the case.
I want to hear it said from those involved, not forum members or journalists providing second or third hand information and reporting everything as fact.

This is a poor situation all round.
Payout figure is a million.
Make him play Reggie’s and he may embark on a destabilising campaign.
They need to trade him away, but at the end of the day, he is arguably still our best winger. He is experienced and a very good finisher.
Whoever leaked this has started a shitstorm.

Actions v words - senior winger dropped under Maguire or Sheens? He was also sent to the Storm. His words on his Storm tenure are at the link. Now this article yesterday. I am a Nofoaluma supporter and it may be as simple as the club expecting high standards from a winger who is on a huge deal? Being on a big contract comes with expectations.

Yes, but with those other instances there were quotes from the player and the club.
Yesterdays article was without.
It doesn’t ring as true as presented.
