You have got to be kidding...Faatape is our most reliable centre in defence, over Olam. But you all look past that for some reason.

I heard some of the comments from the Knights coach before the last game that the Tigers attack differently to most of the other sides, with lots of shape and lots of passes. I thought that was a weird comment but he clearly knows a hell of a lot more about it than meI have said recently this attacking style they play is relatively easy to gameplan against … particularly when the Tigers have a number of players with poor discipline and respond to the “niggle”…
Just give them nothing back and eventually they will make mistakes and lose their cool …they are a team that can’t win this grinding style …
Of course its fair. He has sat out most of this season (and last) on $600k plus. We haven't received anywhere near fair value from Adam.I think it’s a fair deal it’s a 1 year contract. He has the ability to showcase whether or not he’s worth more and get his market value up the following year. If he comes back both this (good coin) and next year and plays good football following 2025 who’s to say he can’t command 600-700k at another club.
Jesus comes in many forms my man….His name is Richo, not Jesus.
Tell him to piss off now. He’s probably been copping 700k to do nothing and obviously thinks he owes the club nothing. Play on 150k next year so the club can actually improve the squad. Just downgraded him to Muppet.Full article:
The Wests Tigers have offered Adam Doueihi a one-year extension at minimum wage as the utility moves closer to a return from injury over the next six weeks.
Tigers chief executive Shane Richardson last week tabled Doueihi an offer for about $150,000 for next season.
Doueihi, who is coming off three ACL injuries, has opted against taking up the Tigers’ offer and will instead try to prove he is worth more than the club are willing to offer through his performances in the back half of the year.
He recently flew to Melbourne and was granted clearance to begin full contact training with an eye to returning in round 16-17.

Yep maybe a backhanded compliment. "Their attack is different and also considerably worse than anything we have played this year"Who knows what the the Knights coach motives are for that comment.. he can’t be praising a team that only scores 14 points a game
i believe Adam has a very high opinion of himself, way too high in my opinionTell him to piss off now. He’s probably been copping 700k to do nothing and obviously thinks he owes the club nothing. Play on 150k next year so the club can actually improve the squad. Just downgraded him to Muppet.
That is exactly the position we're in.“a much higher ceiling” ?
Naden’s last game was straight out of the Douhie handbook, 5 missed tackles, couple of errors, and look good with the ball in hand but get bundled into touch at least once.
Although Faataape may not be as flashy with the ball in hand, I’d argue his D makes the other two look like lazy bums. I know who I’d keep if I had to pick one.

We cannot re-sign both Faatape and Doueihi, whilst also maintaining the contracts of Toa, Naden and Kepaoa. All 5 are fringe first graders. We only have 2 spots left and are in desperate need of another NRL calibre outside back, another second rower, probably another prop...
We just can't afford to have so many players in a top 30 who are backups, as well as kids who actually are our backups.
Realistically heading into 2025 we can keep no more than 1-2 of Naden, Toa, Staines, Kepaoa, Faatape and Doueihi. That's if we want to be competitive.
I would much rather see all 5 leave and have a crack with new players who might be NRL standard. All of the above are not.

I wouldn't say negative, just realistic. He's been the most overpaid bludger in the game for the past few years. Raking in almost 3 million for a few games where he was largely below average.I think you are overly negative about Doueihi for some reason.
2025 is not very far away. I assume the club has some decent idea of who might be available to buy between now and the next pre-season. I assume the club knows how much money they have left.
So you can put a minimum-wage offer to a nobody like Naden or Faataape, and I'm fine with that, but I think there is equal risk making that lowball offer to an injury-prone player with a much higher ceiling.
Coaches watch game tape. We pass a lot and with depth. Benji clearly has got a plan which the players have to adapt or be replaced. It’s going to be a long season it’s what Ciraldo did with the dogs defence last year. I believe he’s in the right track with Luai coming.I heard some of the comments from the Knights coach before the last game that the Tigers attack differently to most of the other sides, with lots of shape and lots of passes. Unless we are releasing 4-5 players currently under contract for 2025 there is no room for a player most likely to spend the next few years toiling away in state cup at best, if not retiring.
He has no position either. No longer a 5/8, he sucked when he was previously at centre, one great game and lots of other shockers. His speed and movement will only have worsened after 3 ACL's too. His effort, concentration levels, decision making and work rate have been his major faults throughout his career, along with a lack of pace and poor defensive technique. That's a huge project that we want to try and fix in order to squeeze him into a new position. Given our track record with project players, his injury history, his poor attitude, i just don't think he'll ever be a successful professional footy player again. And definitely not with us.
The fact he's leaked his low ball offer will only anger Richo too, putting him deeper into the bad books. I'd say we've already agreed he's not worth the trouble but out of loyalty and hope offered him a one year deal to try extract some value out of a player who's drained our bank account and given nothing in return for years.
We would have to offer at least a million bucks for Crichton's agent just to return our call. He's not coming here. He wants to win premierships.I would take Angus Crichton in a heartbeat and move Papalii to 13 permanently. With another break-out prop of the bench, this would round out our forward pack nicely.
With Olam and Turuva supposedly getting first crack at centres, we desperately need a game-breaking winger (not just competent) to round out the backline. But who? Any junior flyers coming through for 2025?
Personally, I'd love someone like Jack Bostock in the centres with Olam and Turuva on the wing.
