So why did the Large family want to keep it a secret. I'm guessing they did the dirty on WT when Onitoni and his manager spat the dummy over the alleged clause. I think there is a lot more to this than the rubbish being put out by the media.

Why did the Large family want to keep it quiet .. as did Manly .. ?? Maybe they didnt want the mention of how much money the Sea Eagles paid the Large family on the side to convince/tell Onitoni he's now going to Manly .. TPP works wonders .. !! ;-)

Madge is still definitely holding some anger against us.. as soon as heard we were interested in Kobi .. he quickly jumped in and kiboshed the ideal of Kobi leaving for the Tigers.

Madge has a problem now .. as the Donkeys are already paying top dollars with long term contracts with Walsh (1m per season), Mam (1m per season), Carrigan (900k per season), and Haas (1m per season) .. they have a heap of middle forwards that all want big mins .. but they wont be able to keep them all. Also their backs like Cobbo and Staggs both wanting to test the market.

The Donkeys will be in the market pretty soon to see if they can sign a new number 9 and 7 .. Billy Walters career is up in the air now .. be interesting to see if Madge picks as the Donkeys starting number 9 like Kevvie did .. ;-) .. and they are trying to sign Sam Walker to replace Reynolds .. if they get Walker there's another mil $$ from their cap gone .. i can see a mad fire sale coming.

he's just jumped into the hot seat and while he'd have some idea of where their cap is at, he wouldn't be completely across it.

Hetherington's on $400k, which could be the difference between retaining Cobbo and Staggs. Kobe also wants to play 80 minutes each week in the NRL, which he can't do at Brisbane, and a guy like Te Kura can easily take his spot. it's a win win for both parties.

if he doesn't release Hetherington, he's a fool.

News Corp are reporting Manly and North Queensland are on the verge of a player swap which will see the Cowboys sign Jaxson Paulo while Cowboys-contracted Mackay Cutters back rower D’Jazirhae Pua’Avase joins the Sea Eagles.

I’ve heard from a friend that Madge actually went on a podcast sometime this year and said $1m for a prop is too much. Idk if this is true or just bs but hopefully we get a promising Brisbane forward to tigers

Supposedly Large was very accommodated at the WT for a 16 yr old … Anyway ..so to get this straight ,,.. his family asks for a release …. And then they ask the club to keep it quiet until it suits them to announce it … so much entitlement

The club is smart to get out in front of this . The issue isn’t who leaked first but who control the narrative , re. The kid is leaving because manly guaranteed a 16 year old a start in first grade next year .
The mole is doing his best to spin it another way , but I don’t think. It’s working .

A lot of people are misinterpreting a 10-second comment from him in an interview on 4BC radio saying that he'd be happy to keep Kobe & Paix, it's a clean slate. Now that's a lot different to saying he'll enforce their contracts with the club. So to me, he's just playing things with a straight bat in initial interviews.

I dont really understand why Ontoini thinks he's a5/8 .. he's much better suited as being a running centre.

He would have figured out he's an outside back over the next couple of years and he will probably play most of his career there. We were too stubborn to keep him until he realised that. Koula was very similar to Large. Only large has a lot more skills

That is not almost.

There are 5 (effectively) male grades (if we're talking pathways).

We had a side that didn't finish anywhere near last in 3 of the 5.

It is deliberately misleading to say otherwise, despite Balmain finishing last in several of those as well.

We made the finals in one grade FFS! How can you even try to defend that

The closest prop i have ever seen who would be worth a million dollars on your salary cap was Arthur Beetson,Haas is the best current prop going around with AFB not far behind both worth about 875k imho

I’m not against klemmer but that is a good summary. He could probably better his offloading. Tackle breaks Probabaly a different matter?

When thinking offloading you also need to remember we don't have anyone who supports the play. Bula is nowhere near the ruck, ever, too unfit and lazy. Needs a real kick up the ass. Mason is far superior to Bula on that one regard. Even Galvin is superior.
If there's no one to pass to you can't offload...!

Will be a test for richo can he rebalance the roster without bringing back another Sheenius incarnation through screwing our cap through paying people to play elsewhere.
