Has he coached league before? Could be a plan to get him familiar with the game the promote him slowly up until NRL pending results

He played Origin and Test rugby league for Australia and did coach some league. He is 64 now so mayby he is just a mate of the guy coaching Matt's because if he wanted to coach professionally he would be snapped up tommorrow. They should get him in to provide some guidance at nrl training if they can.

Added to my previous post I checked him out. Since 2015 he's been defensive coach of the Parramatta Two Blues so now I'm not as enthusiastic.

I saw that - Muggo is a great coach and I am surprised no one has picked him up over the years since he was back from Ireland and Japan.
He firsts coached under Peter Louis at North Sydney Bears before moving into rugby coaching. Top bloke.

The NRL changed the interpretation a few years ago that you have to "make a genuine attempt" to play the ball with your foot, so lack of foot contact (alone) is no longer an indiscretion. You still can't simply roll it between your legs.

I don't mind, I always thought it a bit pedantic. Same as how you used to have to stop and place the ball on the ground for a tap restart, which is also no longer required.

Man, this season watching several matches per week including Tigers and other lower-ranked teams, then watching only Finals teams this past month and seeing the HUGE difference in line speed across 80 minutes from the best sides.

The GF, I have no doubts, will see both Storm and Penrith race up off their lines in D for as long as the score is close. I could only dream of Tigers being that consistently aggressive.

No of course not hes not a Wests Tigers type of forward. Big Powerful that doesnt just fall at the line. Experts like Gus reckon Storm cant win without him but not good enough for Wests Tigers. ok . So whats your opinion on signing Bird and Hunt.
