It is a real shame. Anybody who has spent more than 10 minutes in the company of Alex Twal would know that he is an exceptionally fine and upstanding man. My wife and I had the pleasure of chatting with Alex at a WT function held about 3 years ago at Rose Hill Racecourse. The tigers were playing an away game against the Warriors that weekend but Alex was at the function because he had been ruled out with concussion. Brent Naden was also there because he was serving a suspension.
Alex spent 15 minutes talking with us. He was in a happy headspace having recently become engaged to his fiance. Alex told us how he loved the club and answered all of my questions about the up and coming players coming through the club. My wife generally has a low opinion of footballers, however she said that she was extremely impressed with the way the Alex had conducted himself. Unfortunately the rest of the day turned into a farce but I shan't ramble off topic here.
One of the very first statements Richo made when he joined us was that every club needed players like Alex Twal. He may be softly spoken but there is a real positivity and genuineness about the guy. People need to look at the incident re his brother as just that. An incident involving his brother.
I don’t feel anyone is having a negative opinion on Alex based off his brothers actions.

Yeah, I think it was raised as interest, but I wanted to take the first opportunity to disconnect Alex from any inference.
Really stupid that his brother thinks being related would somehow result in the cops who were apprehending him saying;
“ Oh, Alex ay, in that case, we will issue a ticket and you can be on your way.”
It’s as dumb as dumb can get.
As is holding up a store, that’s an indictable offence. What’s he looking at 5-7 years?

Sorry, I missed the car jacking the article referred to, the penalty is 10-14 years under the crimes act.

No , as much as must on here hate Bateman he is a good defender, we would need to keep him because we don’t have the depth of player should a backrower goes down , u just can’t have 6 forwards u need at least 10
Bateman not an option with Hastings there & he is digging his heels up there to stay.
Bud a definite option. They wanted him the same time as us.
Peace-Paul for Bud would be perfect. Might even get the best out of Bateman having another Pom around.
Bateman has just finished playing in a team full of poms with zero visible improvement than when he played with us.I have very few expectations of him being worthwhile when and if he returns

G'Day 'Needaname'. I have re-read my previous post and do get where you are coming from. The intent of my post was to say that it was a shame that one of the real nice guys of our game has been mentioned in an unsavoury incident. I think I became overly emotive with the manner in which the press seem to enjoy mentioning anyone of reknown to a perpetrator of a criminal act. If I had my time again I would retract the last two sentences as, in retrospect they do detract from my original intention.

If we can’t get Ivan, we need to relieve him of his assistants and underlings at least and bring them over.
Whatever their deal is, I say we double it and roll out the perks.
Proven winners who know the Panther trade secrets and know how to implement them.
I think this kind of program would be the absolute best we could do for Benji.
He may not like it at first, but once the wins arrive, he will warm to it.
And it would assist him with his learning and knowledge of the game.
So says Knights coach AOB, the game is a constant learning experience. You never can know everything there is to know about it.
He’s a wise man, I have a lot of time for him in this age of muppets and the undeservedly entitled.
