Hunt/Reynolds wil be very good
Hunt said the plan is to start in the halves whilst Ezra is out and then move to hookerHunt/Reynolds wil be very good
State cup godsHow would you rate:
1. Doueihi
6. Latu Fainu
7.Sullivan
9. Da Silva
against the likes of Newcastle, St George etc?
I agreeObjectively that would be about where this squad should finish, anywhere from 6th-12th.
As others have said though, so much of an assessment of a season is subjective - played strong and aggressive and were unlucky in a couple of very close games or had some outstanding wins but got lazy, blew games because of poor defense and attitude, lost to teams they should beat etc. can look very similar on the table but subjectively be very different when assessing success.
It is still a squad with problems, but a 9th place finish with a clear "corner turned" in regards to the general attitude and stupidity of the team, improvements from the young players and leadership from Luai is a pass mark for me. That is a blueprint for more sustained success. 2026 its finals or fail
Agree totally, only issue is going to be how long it takes Luai and Galvin to gel. Once that happens and they are consistently on the same page, our halves should be top 3 in the comp when fit.In my humble opinion, Luai is proven in the NRL we're not paying on potential
agreed. our backrow depth is shocking. not sure who and/or what would be an option but we certainly need to look into it.I wonder who we will go after if Bateman is gone? We really need some 1 to fill that role
Yep not sure what he is on but let’s say $ 350 , upgrade now to $ 800 that’s like you say near a million , if he doesn’t I honk he could be playing the games , with Dogs or other coming in with $ 1 mill per season and winning the comp , team needs to be winning games to help keep him and the dogs , Rorters , Panthers need to be beaten in the first roundIf we extend him, he'll surely be getting $500k upgrade for each of the next two seasons. If he's willing to forego an extra million dollars, he already has plan to go elsewhere.
Dead last, by a long long loooooooong way.How would you rate:

Sione upgrade. That's a done dealI wonder who we will go after if Bateman is gone? We really need some 1 to fill that role
Sounds as if it will be SioneI wonder who we will go after if Bateman is gone? We really need some 1 to fill that role
Surely if Bateman is moved on it opens the door for Sione, the question then becomes who do we offload if someone else comes up.agreed. our backrow depth is shocking. not sure who and/or what would be an option but we certainly need to look into it.
The club is certainly talking a big game.
I spose Sullivan is the next item of business. Naden and Tumeth are also on the chopping block.Surely if Bateman is moved on it opens the door for Sione, the question then becomes who do we offload if someone else comes up.
I'd be willing to even let Starford go if it meant we could get Taylan May.....I spose Sullivan is the next item of business. Naden and Tumeth are also on the chopping block.
And Fulton.I reckon Losing Gibbs and Ellis from the side around the same time killed our attitude in D,
We've never had a bloke that lead it since.
We've never had a hard man in D, But those blokes where about as good as we've ever had.
Aren't Sully and Naden diggin their heels in? I expect if they can offload their contracts we would be delighted, but if we need spots freed up for somone that falls from the tree I expect Tumeth and Sukkar would be the sacrificial lambs.I spose Sullivan is the next item of business. Naden and Tumeth are also on the chopping block.
