Has a right to be a bit furious given the Titans used him in 19 games but rested him for the last available game of the year as it would have triggered a 50k bonus.

That is poor treatment and i can't blame him for wanting to move elsewhere

I had a look at his stats last night, nothing to really
write home about but still young. In terms of his
development as a league player, he's probably
about 2 years short of Fonua, who he reminds me
of a bit playing style wise. Gus is light in the forward
pack so he'd do well to get Leo Thompson/and or
Pahalu. We took everyone Gus wanted the bludger

If the rules stipulate he needs to be back on a certain date, whether that's 5 days or 1 day before they break - then he needs to follow the rules.
Do the tigers get the luxury of calling what Bateman is doing as bullying? considering he has no intention of returning? No because he's playing by the rules.

I actually agree that it's probably best for both parties if he doesn't return, as from all reports the relationship sounds untenable. In saying that, making him come back for 1 day before xmas is incredibly petty given he has been in England.

As an employer, playing the game or not, I dont think it’s reasonable to expect an employee to fly across the world for 1 day before you break again for a few weeks for Xmas. What would the club achieve? Other team mates see how you treat other team members. You need to collaborate with your employees rather than alienate them.

It appears that Benjis way or the high way has backed tigers into a corner with this one.

It’s all speculation though.
