What clauses, Santa Claus ?Dont forget to take into consideration the clauses. Nothing is set in stone. Bumped up. Bumped down.
There was never any doubt that he'd still be playing rugby next year. He's the best player in GPS rugby, on a scholarship.I spoke to my nephew he said since he has a scholarship he'll be still playing union
Just adding an extra 200k to his salary because they want to .... How professionalJayden Sullivan has undergone a medical assessment at South Sydney with the Tigers half potentially on the move before the end of the year.
It is understood that Sullivan underwent a medical with South Sydney on Friday with the Rabbitohs keen on adding him into their roster from next season.
But on Saturday, Sullivan was back at the Tigers with the 23-year-old joining the rest of the squad for a fitness session at Concord Oval and showed no signs of a player heading for the exit.
The move will now depend on the Tigers and Rabbitohs reaching an agreement surrounding how much the Tigers are willing to chip in for Sullivan to play elsewhere.
Sullivan is an eye-watering contract worth $700,000 for the next three seasons. That $2.1 million is burning a hole in the Tigers salary cap.
This masthead has reported that the Tigers would be willing to give Sullivan a $900,000 handshake to walk away from the club.
He had been earmarked as a potential starting halfback when he was signed at the Tigers from St George Illawarra for the 2024 season.
Sullivan played just nine games this year and has fallen behind Lachie Galvin, Latu Fainu and new superstar recruit Jarome Luai in competition for the Tigers starting halves spot.
The Rabbitohs are willing to take Sullivan on but for a significantly reduced rate. It remains to be seen how much the Tigers are willing to chip in.
He has rejected multiple interest from Super League clubs and by all reports has impressed at Tigers training since returning this year.
South Sydney have been on the lookout to add some depth to their halves after granting Lachie Ilias a release to join St George Illawarra.
Sullivan might not be the only contracted Tiger on the move before the year ends.
John Bateman, who too was close to joining South Sydney, is on the brink of joining the Cowboys after an unhappy season at the Tigers.
And he thinks the cowboys star studded back row is the option? Meh, do cares just piss him off alreadywish bud all the best to be honest, think he will do well with a few indigenous boys around him, has handled himself very professionally and always spoke well of the club
batemen isnt digging his heels in
he knows he has a contract here and would much rather be elsewhere
souths saw him as a bench player, wants a starting gig
Don’t we need the Roster spot to officially lodge Mays contract?Very interesting to see what the Tigers do should Bud and Bateman move on. Obviously Sione gets added and hopefully a quality 2nd rower. Would complete a great off season of signings.
Hope not , lolHeard a whisper that we have signed Morgan Harper probably to a train and trial contract
He is currently on a train and trial deal with the Melbourne Storm so unless that was pre-season only I don’t see him making the jump here.Heard a whisper that we have signed Morgan Harper probably to a train and trial contract
Glad to see that our infinitely wise and highly competent board has shown Latu the error of his ways and with their guidance is now on the path to redemption. 🤣People might think i’m getting a bit carried away but Makasini is NRL ready now. Scored a classy try where no one laid a hand on him & just physically you wouldn’t think this kid is only 17 years old. Api was classy around the ruck but the best on ground for me was probably Latu Fainu was very sharp & had some bloody nice touches.
A kid named Latu Finau fits the bill for me.Well it shouldn’t be, hence the Panthers have made sure they have had players such as Sean O’Sullivan and Brad Schneider as their backs ups.
I wonder if these figures get lobbied about so the Tigers kick in more money given the gap is much larger for the new team as first understood. As if Sullivan is on 700k a year .
These journos pluck numbers out of their wazoos
I’m interested to see who Souths are planning to play in the backrow next year with Koloamatangi moving to the middle, Chee Kam and Milne leaving the building and Murray out for the first part of the year.wish bud all the best to be honest, think he will do well with a few indigenous boys around him, has handled himself very professionally and always spoke well of the club

I don't think so. He shouldn't be listed as top 30 on the Tigers website is that was the case IMODon’t we need the Roster spot to officially lodge Mays contract?
Hopefully he can get over his hamstring issues. Barely stepped on the field in 2024.Looks like starford toa is currently “A side” if true View attachment 18362

Might be freeing up a spot for Tallis Duncan to start alongside Host if he is still there or Arrow if he has recovered from his Shoulder / back problems.
