Yeah closed from today until the 6th. Assuming
Richo is having a well deserved break like every1
else man then it's back to biz. Trials are just over
a month after the break. It's gone fast — sure glad that
the new guys came back to training early 2 build
synergy. The next block of pre-season and trials will
decide who plays right centre & 2nd row. I believe
To'a, Naden, Seyfarth, Sukkar, Sione, Johannssen
will get a look in there, not grim but pretty close to
it, Bird of course can play there & is better in D than
the above players I mentioned but that throws out
the backrow & bench option if you push Seyfarth
or Fonua Pole to lock. Why'd you leave us Papali'i...

Seyfarth is not a long term option in the back row, and we can not carry him and Twal in the same team. They are fill in at best, west magpies players this year if we want to Win games.

In terms of talent shown up until Latu's age, Doueihi and he aren't in the same stratosphere.

What he did was extremely stupid, however I’m pretty positive he did not get into the car with the intent to kill. Hence why it was reckless. Don’t take that as a defence of him either, I couldn’t care less about him. But in the eyes of the law, I think there is a a distinct difference.

It will be interesting as I imagine Latu will be 14 in round 1. We will get to see them both at DH and I think Latu will get some time at lock as well.

Latu covering Api does not in any way prepare him to be our potential full time 7. Neither does him covering halves, lock or centre. He needs focus on driving a team.
TDS will be the first choice hooker within 3 years. We will then have a 22 year old, 12+ year player who has been developed correctly.
Latu could be our first choice 7 within a shorter time frame if he is managed correctly.
It’s hard to hold these young blokes back, but they and the club will reap the benefits for years if management does it properly.
Now maybe I’m off course thinking the club want Latu to be a long term halfback. Maybe they wish to change him from a half to a hooker like Melbourne did with Cam Smith….we’ll see once they unveil their strategies at the selection table I suppose.

No recollection on most of the nite before, let alone how I got home. Didn’t happen that often as I didn’t like it. But it did happen.

I’ve done it a few times but I wasn’t fortunate enough to wake up in my bed haha
I’ve woken up in the city on the streets of kings cross.

Last time I looked there is guy called Jerome Luai we’ve signed for 5 years. Pretty sure he will be our 7 for a while - a long while.

Latu needs first grade experience. Regardless of the position. He’s not going to wait around for Luai to leave to play 7.

He’s a perfect utility and needs to get use to that. The only way he will play in the halves is if there is an injury or someone leaves.

Hooker/lock. Been in the UK for five odd years. At Hull FC a few years back most recently playing reverse grade. Solid NSW cup player, won’t see first grade.
