I’ll give you a tip. Merlot old mate. Never judge players on their character, and claim they would never do X. Only need to remind you about a certain former coach of ours who when he was here, was given saint hood status. Only to ditch us with two years to go on his contract to coach his misproportioned mentum son. After that he became as popular as Voldemort around these parts. Players will always do what’s in their own best interests when the time comes. I don’t see him being any different to any other player.

The reason people had the shits , and rightly imho , was because the club bought a whole bunch of players who only suited clearyball. When Cleary left , we were left with a bunch of dead wood . And everyone knew it. That’s what the outrage was about. It had nothing to do with Clearys character .

Latu will probably end up with a very good career if he works hard but Galvin is a generational talent. No contest for me, but we may not have the choice.

I dunno if Galvin will sign on . I hope he does. But his manager won’t settle for anything less than star money , and will actually push manly I feel , more than the roosters as DCE is near the end . That’s the real threat , especially with the amount of wests kids who chuck on a manly jersey ,and catch the Hiace to Brooky a couple times a week.
The issue isn’t Galvin , it’s his manager, and really the legacy of ineptitude that is wests tigers . We have to transcend that , as I think his parents will do what’s the best thing for Galvins career. And if we aren’t winning it’s going to be hard to show it’s here .

huh .its his son ! What loyalty did he have to the tigers ? Outside of honouring a contract . I’d chose my son a million times out of a million over the tigers , and I love this club .

He took the opportunity to get the job back , that was unfairly taken from him in the first place by Gould . I sports hate the guy ,sure , it’s fun to give it to him, but I would have done the same thing .
My issue was the mess he left us in . As it’s a big reason we got the spoon 3 times in a row in my opinion , and I was furious with him at the time , because the writing was on the wall that was about to happen would happen , but in hindsight it was the perfect storm , and really Pascoe has a lot to answer for a lot of those signings , and giving Cleary free rein .
The panthers as well . 4 premierships in a row later , they’re stoked with their ruthlessness , but that was some cold shit . They secured their future whilst torpedoing ours . Because our management were asleep at the wheel . Could you imagine Richo getting stooged like that ?

Blaming Pascoe is a cop out. He’s low hanging fruit. It’s so easy to pin any bad thing that ever happened during his tenure on him. Most coaches do have free rein. Even Benji. So if it ever goes pear shaped, the club knows who to point the finger at. Blaming a CEO for giving a coach free rein is ridiculous.

I reckon you could find someone to provide similar output to Klemmer for no more than $350k. There’s quite a few third and fourth props on other teams that provide more than Klemmer does.

Wish there were more 3 and 4th rated 2RF wanting more run on time up to $400k. Ie. Not signed already for the next year or two? Workhorses from KOE.

im kind of leaning towards Mother Finau;s words after the 2 boys signed from manly.It was in script that she laughed heartily saying ,Latu is ?? blessed ? lucky? for the contract,because he has always been hurting ,injuring himself from a kid

Wouldn't be gloom and doom yet. Give it a couple of months to shake out. I don't trust at all Moses to do WT any favours, but I hope Galvin himself has some positivity towards us. And, if Moses does the slightest thing against the league rules, report him and tell Galvin he stays until end of current contract with no upgrade.

You’re speaking as an emotionally invested die hard. If that’s true, why did Tedesco leave? If the Roosters make a play and go hard, it’s like David and Goliath. They will offer to set him up after football, the same way they did with Tedesco. Life in Bondi would be far more appealing to an 18-19 year old than life in Gregory Hills.

Galvin lives at home with family and often talks about how he spends his spare time at home with his family. I’m definitely speaking as an emotionally invested fan but we have richo at the joint it fills me with huge amounts of confidences the bloke has not failed at any club he has been at.
