Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Congrats to whoever's doing the social media for the club this year.
I'm getting videos in my feed regularly, it's a step up on the past.

On the negative side I see the players went back to the old victory song (which I prefer) but had to dumb it down because they don't know the words. They replaced a verse with HOO HAA HOO HAA.

I don't really care if the whole song is HOO HAA HOO HAA if they keep winning.
the new song was soooo bad...

From a player's perspective, that is fine. From our club's position, we have to balance the books. Going on yesterday's game, May, Luai and Bula shone. Bula played superbly at 5/8 and fullback. Richardson will have to prioritise and watching Bula and Galvin yesterday, Bula has the pace and acceleration to get through gaps and has great awareness and passing. No doubt Richardson has a tough task to assess values.
If were competitive, balancing the books is a lot simpler
Benjis challenge
Eels were awful yeterday, and Knights had an ordinary day against us.
Do it a cple of more times against Dolphins and Warriors, and u may reasonably conclude its our defence that is causing those issues
Need to win both those
Then at some stage ...Storm .Broncos and Panthers roll up..big step up again
But speaking of steps ..one at a time

I just think you don’t need both him and Twal in a first grade 17. We really lacked some leg speed in the forwards for the first 25 mins today. A big backrower who gets quick PTB is a serious need.
The first 25 minutes all we needed to do was hang on to the ball but we couldn’t . IMO leg speed had little to do with our issues.

Parra had a pack of big forwards, and while fresh, made good ground. But while not flash, we hung in there. I thought Twal was excellent as was May and the others.
But all these big bodies get tired, slow down and that's when Benji bought on Hunt, Bird and DaSilva.
What a great bench! They upped the tempo and Parra couldn't respond adequately. We win.

Using Brown as a benchmark for a players worth is out of skelter with reality.
Good luck to him for finding a Club willing to squander so many dollars on an average 5/8.

Are people watching the same Alex Twal that I watch each week take every dirty hit up into the meat of the opposition and run like his life depends on it ? The same Twal that makes tackle after tackle and cleans up every half chance around him with a 98% rate ?? I cannnot fathom the lack of support he cops on here .. he tried week in week and when you put a few other go forward middles with him he looks awesome..

I preferred the old song, as songs go the new one was a bit cringe.

Ridiculous that the NRL use this as a reason. So the AFL could attract thousands of law suits for all the players it has restrained via a draft???
Their union and players got a kickback in negotiations to allow it, plus for the most part the AFL clubs aren't the sole development clubs like NRL. The NRL players union has repeatedly stated they'll never agree and will sue if a draft is proposed

Seriously, I said it last week it's not just because we beat them but why would he go to Parra. I reckon Mitch will end up getting Isaac to call uncle Nick for a spot at Bondi, once Brown goes they currently have Moses Paulo and that young fullback and thats about it for really good footballers, they're on a massive slide.
Won't take his calls. Isaac is wiped from the chooks forever
