Should Penrith have dropped Luai last year?Disagree.
Whats the point in continuing with someone with a known expiry date.

Has Galvin been dogging it on the field throughout that time?NO , NO , NO , the rat has played the club , since before benji gave him his chance , he was never going to stay , I say let him rot in the lowest grade on the bench, thus sort of crap has been going on for years it’s about time our club got hard on players who just want to use as a terminal for there next club
hes a moses client you know it'll happen eventuallyHas Galvin been dogging it on the field throughout that time?
Agree. Moses clearly wanted to use us as a bargaining chip before signing his client elsewhere. The club / Richo has done the right thing by coming out early and controlling the narrative. He’s not taking up much salary cap so no need to release him. Nearly two seasons to go with a club who have no motivation to develop you but who can extract every last bit of value from you will not be a fun place to be. If he doesn’t like it, reserve grade, RMC beckons. It's smart business & the statement is clear. He will be with us until the end of 2026. Gives us the power & options going forward.
Moses will need to stick with rules of no negotiation before November 1. Obviously there will things happening in the background but this early move could get him unstuck.
We have the 3 x Fainus sorted, Richo will play the slow game & watch what falls out of the tree.
I would prioritize resigning Douiehi (1 year), Naden (1 year), Mason (2 years) & we have Makasini coming through. That's our backline sorted.
Main targets needs to be lock & 2nd row. Simples!
If it does- you drop him & pick the player that outperforms him.hes a moses client you know it'll happen eventually
Calm down old sportI would be going hard to extend all the Fainu brothers and even talk to Mario Tartak about giving Manase an opportunity to T&T the 2027 season I think it is after he comes out of the clink. He'll only be 28/29 then.
Completely different situationShould Penrith have dropped Luai last year?
100% agree with this. The other thing no-one ever thinks of is how much dropping Galvin out of spite would piss off the rest of the squad. Players think differently about these things to fans: they know that people leave and that nine times out of 10 their colleagues are going to take the best offer on the table - whether they're playing with their mates or not. Dropping someone who most of the team seem to get on with and who they all know is talented would be a shocking decision for a squad that is for the first time in years showing some spirit and decent culture. So you can win games. If he's the best 5/8 at the club, which he's shown to be, you pick him
It's much more important that the team wins game then just dropping one bloke because he wants to leave.
Dropping him out of pure pettiness makes the club seem extremely juvenile and unproffesional
Understand people thinking different as they're upset and emotional about the situation.
Why?Completely different situation
He can dog it in reserve grade, where no one will notice except his team mates.hes a moses client you know it'll happen eventually
It looked like it derailed the last game. The system sucks. The whole system is lame. The guy is contracted to us until the end of NEXT YEAR.
He has flagged this when we are 3 and 3 off the back of a win in April the year prior. Absolute joke. Really hope this does not derail our season.
And how is it he can announce this now?
Why keep him here now? Let him go but we need to get an awesome trade in this instance. This a Luke Doncic like moment. We have to trade well.
Ofcourse they should of!Should Penrith have dropped Luai last year?
We won't, Richo has handled this completely differently, we kept Moses contract on the table for around 12 months while they were in the background bidding other clubs up against our offer. They said he wouldn't re-sign, Richo pulled the deal. Question is, you have a 5 year 5 million dollar deal on the table and can't start negotiating with other clubs till November 1 yet already know your not taking the deal. If the N.R.L don't seriously looking at Isaac Moses now they never will. Only reason they have flat out said they won't take it is because they have an offer elsewhere ready to go. By pulling the offer Richo takes control of the narrative and now Galvin is in the spotlight as looking greedy and or ungrateful before his manager can come out and put his spin on it. Richo knows Latu is still on the background waiting. I'm just hoping he hasn't gotten fed up with the club prioritising Galvin, I doubt he has, he seems like a real level headed humble guy, there's still heaps of time to fix any issues with the club he might have. The club need to tell him and Galvin now Latu is the priority and Galvin can now play the supporting roll. We'll played Richo. Nice having a pro in the driving seat. That million a year will upgrade our keepers and pool in to attract more talent. Also for the next 1.5 years we have a raw but handy back up half on 300k.do we want to relive the mitchell moses saga, i don't want to see "our" 6 tanking games to get out
I don't think he goes to either.Galvin is going to the eels or manly for sure . Either with Moses’ nephew or or his project team .
Latu is a better half . Galvin is a better athlete . I said it before Galvin will be the generational talent , probably at backrow . Latu will be the better half .
Who cares . We are extremely fortunate that we have the Fainus and they’re invested in the club.
For me , when Latu comes back Galvin goes to Reggie’s . There’s absolutely no reason to develop him any further . Latu is a better defender , he’s a calmer head, and he’s a better ball player .
He needs to pick up his energy around the ball , work on his kicking game ,and definitely needs to fix his issues with injuries but I always remember the fact that Latu , NOT GALVIN was the heir apparent in the halves .And if he was fit to go last year for round 1 , we would have been talking about Latu not Galvin . The real issue with all this , is we lost the Large brothers .
If I was the club I’d honestly refuse to deal with Moses . He’s a blight on the game .
Don't stress this is a good thing imo. After 1.5 years we all now know where our future and direction lie. No more will he won't he. We know our future now is Luai and Latu. Let's hope tomorrow Benji acts on this and Latu is at 6 and Galvin on the bench or reserves.@kade7 any news or rumours to cheer us up today? Think lots including myself could use it
