No chance the Bulldogs will look at either of the Laulilli brothers, they have trended into being very body shape and skill set specific on the players they sign.him and his brother will get multiple offers from other clubs if he goes to nov 1 , you’re underestimating how much clubs are on the look out for young talent . it’s not abt him being in their NRL team he’s very young they’ll be focused on developing them . dogs , manly , bears , dragons would all have a look at Luke and kit .
The Bulldogs have the other NSW U/19’s winger Rinakama who is about 6 foot 5 quick and strong and also have the tall and fast Jonathan Su’a waiting for an opportunity, they won’t be looking at a short winger with average speed to replace them.
Maybe the Bears might be interested, but even still he doesn’t fit the description of a player high on a rival club’s priority list, but he will be good for us to remain on a base level top 30 contract for another couple of years to see how he develops.
As Kelce68 has just mentioned above, it will be in our best interests to develop Luke L as a centre to eliminate him getting targeted as a short winger.
Some like to bring up the To’o comparison and I admit they are similar players at the same age, so it’s not out of the question that Luke L could end up being a similar type of player, but To’o does have an extremely good leap for a shorter winger which has helped him avoid being an aerial target for much taller rival wingers.
Luke L would need to work hard to try and create the leaping ability of To’o if he remains a winger.
