Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I hate posts like this. There isn’t a fan on this forum who has donated $50k to the club. Why suggest a player who has gone through multiple season ending injuries doing his best for us should?
It’s an easy solution, re-sign Doueihi as our regular 7, Latu to develop while being our regular number 14, so he’s still playing valuable NRL minutes every week and keeping the pressure on Doueihi and Luai to perform.
I could be wrong, but I don’t think Latu has a big ego and I think he’s happy to bide his time as our regular number 14 and help our team progress in the right direction.

I'm curious to see if Chrighton gets sighted, if he does he will get a worse punishment because he wasn't sent off. Imo I think he's looking at 2 - 3 weeks maybe. Because Sayfarth was sent off he might cop 1 - 2. Imo it would have been better if Chrighton got sent off but I could be completely wrong. See what happens.
It would be typical of the NRL to punish us .. Seyfarth 1 to 2 weeks .. Crichton will if cited will get only a fine.

Just like Latu’s $600k team friendly deal?
Different deal diff player, has no bearing on this deal.
Doobs should sign what we offer or find another sucker.

Not directed at you as such, but It amazes me the varying opinions that go with every single win after a handful of losses.
The blinding light of winning.

He kicked the winning goal in golden point vs Sharks, kicked the winning field goal against Titans and was best on ground yesterday.

He's been our best player for the last 6 weeks and I think some are blinded by their hate.

He deserves to get the best deal he can. Just like Luai did.

it means we effed you. the finger indicates an appendage....he was doing it after one of the tries. The sign is a pass...just, but he didn't need to say anything after...it's like he had beef with some at the Bulldogs...anyway...glad they used whatever it was constructively for 80 mins.
That hand gesture is gonna land us in trouble again with the NRL .. The NRL has been rocked by revelations fans of one club were targeted by highly offensive hand gestures from players in a fiery match on Sunday.

(from news.com.au)

After Jarome Luai put Samuela Fainu through the line to score a try to put the game beyond doubt with just 10 minutes to go, Tigers players erupted in celebration, taunting the usually rowdy Dogs fans who had been shocked into silence.

During the celebrations, Tigers players Samuela Fainu, Latu Fainu, and Brent Naden were seen making a symbol with their hands, as other players waved and gave the claw to Canterbury supporters.

Despite looking innocent enough, news.com.au can reveal the celebration was actually an offensive gesture known as ‘the Khod’.

Wests Tigers players have come under fire for a ‘disgraceful’ taunt in their shock 28-14 upset win over the Bulldogs.

But one moment in particular rubbed Bulldogs fans the wrong way.

But the ‘Khod gesture’ which is done by pointing a straight hand to the sky and wiggling the middle finger down towards the palm, translates to “f*** you”.

It is a gesture that NRL superfan Jean-Claude Bitar has shown fans and players on social media, teaching people how to flip off people the Lebanese way.

“So what you’ve got to do is put your hand up like you are giving them a high five. Then put this finger down (the middle finger) and point it at them and go ‘Khod’,” Bitar says in one clip.

And after the Tigers flipped the script on the Dogs, several Tigers players decided to give Canterbury fans the ‘Khod’.

Naden and the Fainu brothers both were seen holding their hands up while moving their middle fingers downwards, right in front of Bulldogs supporters.

Camera shots from behind showed several Dogs fans also doing the ‘Khod’ back at the players, while others reverted to flipping them off the traditional way.

The NRL is reportedly aware of the incident and will address the situation on Monday.

😂

'Right guys, you may place your hand up in celebration, but all the fingers must be in a 'claw' motion, because only a set number of fingers are allowed.'

'Ok, can I stick my middle finger up only?'

'Nah, offensive'.

'Righto, can I stick the rest up but leave my middle finger down?'

'Nah, offensive'.

'......right. Can I face my palm towards myself and stick two fingers up?'

'Nah, offensive'.

'Hmmm..... what if I keep the two fingers up but flip the hand around to show my palm outwards'.

'Yep! that one is sweet - popular in Japan and Korea'.

................ What has happened to sports journalism? 😂

So Dogs fans can be the worst type of supporter for the last 25 years but cry when the equivalent of a middle finger is given back to them. 🤣🤣

Ill admit the Naden video is just brain dead stupid to film but really...we are offended by this?
Bulldogs are a bunch of crybaby losers. Even after they threw our season off track with Gus sweethearting Galvin on air, they have the nerve to complain about an up yours. Frankly, they deserve it.
