Interestingly I wonder if either of them, particularly Geyer being the older player could transition from an edge forward to a middle ?Discussing middles
Size is not an issue and extra leg speed in the middle is much needed.

Roberts is a good signing but Geyer is only here for a year and off to the Perth bears the year afterisn’t that what they’ve been doing with recruiting geyer & roberts?

Nelson from the storm... Id take him on a 2 year contract in a heart beatI would say Davvy Moale, Braden Hamlin-Uele, Samuel Hughes and Liam Henry are all slightly better than what we can potentially field in our top 17, but none of them would be a massive improvement, so you would have to ask the question, could any of them provide value for money ?
As for the top 4, isn’t that what we should be aiming for within the next 1-2 years ?
We have now proven we have a team that can somewhat compete for the top 8, surely the next step is building a top 4 team ?
I don’t think we are far away from it at all, but there is no doubt a couple of positions within our team that need improvement to get to that level.
you’re speculating that i consume rubbish from media. they’ve had issues brewing for a couple years now & it’s starting to rear its head. they changed their pathways under mestrov & got rid of Fulton and it hasn’t worked out - look at where they are in cup & flegg dead last. have no elite talent coming through, an ageing roster and align way too much with moses. their most elite young talent beat them on the weekend - latu sione & samuela . reminds me of us when it all started to go badYou're speculating or simply consuming the shit peddled by journos after a story. What are the issues?
It's fact they are missing 6 forwards who out with injuries, that took them to the 2nd week of finals last season.
It could if we have a new recruit charging onto the ball through the middle at speed and making 10 plus metres per hit up.Will that move the needle much you think ?
yeah that’s where i was going with itInterestingly I wonder if either of them, particularly Geyer being the older player could transition from an edge forward to a middle ?

Considering we’ve only made the finals 3 times in 25 seasons, that’s a very broad time frame to say “When it all started to go bad”.. reminds me of us when it all started to go bad
true, to clarify i mean pre spoon eraConsidering we’ve only made the finals 3 times in 25 seasons, that’s a very broad time frame to say “When it all started to go bad”.
This guy is a walking suspension nowadays & can't even crack the 17 for Melbourne.... remember the last player we took on like that? No thanks.Nelson from the storm... Id take him on a 2 year contract in a heart beat
I would be happy to have him at the right price, but he won’t come to us at the right price.you want big Nelson as well ?
He's certainly on the nose with bellyache that's for sure, read somewhere that they were trying to unload him and willing to pay a large chunk of his money to move him on.This guy is a walking suspension nowadays & can't even crack the 17 for Melbourne.... remember the last player we took on like that? Nelson has reportedly signed a letter of intent to go to Rugby 360. Not an option.Nelson from the storm... Id take him on a 2 year contract in a heart beat
I wouldn't take any player from the Storm who has seen a lot of NRL action. I believe they have been worked hard under Bellamy. He's certainly on the nose with bellyache that's for sure, read somewhere that they were trying to unload him and willing to pay a large chunk of his money to move him on.
Could a change of surroundings from being punted provide the brain jolt that he needs for a reset, jury's out but if you could get his head right the guy's an enforcer.
I know, nothing personal, it’s probably just the straw that broke the camel’s back. I’ve read the same thing so many times on here about our players.I’ve commented on Murray …how is that “most of the players “?

The Olam experience cut deep that's for sure, but some ex-forwards took form to other teams, not all ended up busted.I wouldn't take any player from the Storm who has seen a lot of NRL action. I believe they have been worked hard under Bellamy.
Listening to these blokes talk about their Father a couple of times he seems like a massive knobhead & a bully.
