Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I miss the old: quickly offended/quickly forgiven.

I.e. I once said "I want my pound of flesh", which offended someone who said "the origins of that offends me". So "I am so sorry, I had no idea the origins of that phrase offended people. I fully retract that statement".

To which the other person replied...

...

"No Problems at all!"

Is that hard?
lol you pussy.

I don't know how to start a new thread. I think if i put what i have to say may be welcomed in this thread. It is Mick Cronin. Golden boots. Yes he is Parra but i always loved the way he played. The only Grand Final i went to was because a family friend who played resevres For Balmain and played one first grade game on the wing. Lindsey Delpesh. 1981 i think. Parra v Newton. He took me to that Grand Final and unless Tommy was playing for Newton i don't think i would have gone. I did go and on the fence and it was a great space. Saw Brett Kenny rip the Jets heart out.

Sometimes, the stories we deem important to share with others, in actual fact, no one cared even a fraction of what we thought they would. This is just a random thought of course, seeing as this seemed like a good spot for it.

Nothing to do with your excellent description of the time you were taken to the 1981 grand final.

Seriously mate, don’t want to be rude but who gives two shits. This is a rumours and signings thread. Take your random thoughts down to your local RSL and dribble them into the bottom of a schooner.

Stephen Dank was at Manly as well as Cronulla....

Des is a fraud and a product of his own PR machine!

Titans actually had TOO MANY HALFBACKS - and he brought in old mate Foran for a retirement cheque FFS!!

Wake up to yourself!

PS - Jack Bird is not a "middle"/front rower and never has been (responding to another one of your bizarre posts regarding him being deemed a "lock" on the team website)! He won a Premiership as a CENTRE and signed with the Broncos etc - before moving to the back-row FFS!!

He is past it - but get the fricking position he plays right!
Ok Jack bird... fair point. St George then us experimented with him in the "front row". It's a failed experiment. Of all the Fringe graders we have, and I will say he is a fringe grader as we are looking to punt him... Jack Bird offers the most Utility value of any player.

The titans Stuffed up!
Clearly punting/loosing Sexton was a mistake. They have a roster that should be middle comp and one of the best forward packs in the comp. Yes, it did not work there. Whatever Des did, it did not work there.

Yet...
He won 2 premierships and had Manly at the top of the ladder.
He got the Dogs to the finals (with cheating... ) Yes the Stephen Dank stuff is more on him then Flanno who's first year as NRL coach got caught!

Ricky guided the Sharks to a wooden spoon after 15 straight losses.
