weststigersfrg@gmail.comHopefully we find out our full T&Ts over the next week as more players return. Hoping we have retained at least one of them.
Both will only be on Magpies NSW Cup contracts if re-signed at all,Izaak T is the one I hope we keep. Could easily play centre or wing. I felt he was consistent all year last year. Maps dropped off towards the end of the season. A bit more versatile, but if I had to choose one...it is Izaak to stick around.
Pretending? Pretending what?Who?
Name names rather than pretending!
We cant seriously be considering madden playing FG. Back up at best or we havent learnt a thing. Hes at best a solid 2nd grade half and cant be a regular starter or its bottom 4 at bestMadden is a short kicking option AND a goal kicker!
AD at 13 adds has the long kicking game, kicks goals and adds more strike power to confuse the defence, creating space for the halves hopefully?
IMO this would allow game management to rotate the props and backrowers for shorter minutes but at max. output. I do think our bench will be much stronger in 2026.
I know, I'm a dreamer.
Think he'll see some 1st grade only because our halves keep going down, is that a good thing, remains to be seen.We cant seriously be considering madden playing FG. Back up at best or we havent learnt a thing. Hes at best a solid 2nd grade half and cant be a regular starter or its bottom 4 at best
may stop the interbreeding, on any footy panels .LOLCorrect, plus just pushes discussions underground and rely on a whistleblower to catch out any manager breaking the ‘rules’. Nothing is effectively changing despite the desk thumping.
i will bite . Madden is my 1st choice at 1/2 back to kick the year off,the way things seem to be at the momentWe cant seriously be considering madden playing FG. Back up at best or we havent learnt a thing. Hes at best a solid 2nd grade half and cant be a regular starter or its bottom 4 at best
Merlot Noooooooo. please. ...I need to hang onto what little hope i have we get closer to top 8. Npt with Madden at 7i will bite . Madden is my 1st choice at 1/2 back to kick the year off,the way things seem to be at the moment
I know Rock it hasnt turned out but this time last year i was reading how finally we had bought a million dollar player to lead us around at 7 after many years of having brooks trying to fill the role, now 12 months later we are talking abt improvements and us making the 8 and theres talk of Madden. I really hope it doesnt happen. he offered nothing last time he was here done nothing since.Think he'll see some 1st grade only because our halves keep going down, is that a good thing, remains to be seen.
kicked winning field goal from half way in QLD reserve grade GF. Will surprise a few on here.I know Rock it hasnt turned out but this time last year i was reading how finally we had bought a million dollar player to lead us around at 7 after many years of having brooks trying to fill the role, now 12 months later we are talking abt improvements and us making the 8 and theres talk of Madden. what it screams is members have a right to show there disappointment or as you say negativity. At the end of the day we had 3 wooden spoons on the trot and considering our signings we are still in the bottom four and thats not good enough . We have spent more than a decade playing some shit football.I’ve already said the same thing twice . I’m not saying it a third time . I was critical of the Olam signing as well . And I’m not talking about objective criticism . I’m talking about a select group on here who shit on everything . I could name the names and stir up a bunch of trouble , but to what end ? It’s obvious. The self fulfilling, talking in circles style , I’m extremely critical of. It screams attention seeking to me. . I’ve already said 2 and a bit diatribes on this . That’s more than enough to get my point across.
grab hold of it with all your strength , but don't waste to much time ,your hooked, go the comfortable pathMerlot Noooooooo. please. ...I need to hang onto what little hope i have we get closer to top 8. Npt with Madden at 7
To be fair it would of been a task to break into that bronco's team with all the options they had on handI know Rock it hasnt turned out but this time last year i was reading how finally we had bought a million dollar player to lead us around at 7 after many years of having brooks trying to fill the role, now 12 months later we are talking abt improvements and us making the 8 and theres talk of Madden. My mates and I used to call Buckets 3rd man because he loved playing behind the lead runner. Was a huge reason why we found so much space in a time where really only Scott Hill was doing similar.Sheens had Buckets doing it a lot too

You realise Gardiner can't recruit, right? He has what he has. Yes, he put his senior playmaker in the 7 Jersey. What else is he supposed to do?So Ben Gardiner also has no idea playing him at 7 for Samoa?
You hit the nail on the head he plays better at 7 and at 6 when he is provided more space. We didn't provide that with the pack we had and it was clear that his early time at 7 suffered through a combination of that and Galvin overplaying his hand.
So let's say that you are correct and Luai has a 6 on his back instead of 7. What does it change from what I posted? The only way he is provided more space as a 6, is if the 7 slides and plays both sides of the paddock or we have a ball playing 13 that provides width for the 6 ad 7.
Look, I get that you don't agree with AD at 13. But I haven't heard any reasoning from you apart from he played two good games at 7 last season.
I'm happy to debate the subject - but resorting to petty name calling is childish.
Galvin is very much the opposite of Luai...So Ben Gardiner also has no idea playing him at 7 for Samoa?
