Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

To a team that was absolutely Abysmal on the day and ended up finishing dead last…
There’s no excuse for that game, though plenty here will find one.
I dunno...i think everyones been in agreeance we blew that one and shouldve won it
Frustrating as hell.
Lots of reasons why we didnt win that one. But those reasons should.be covered during traing and off season and we gotta learn to adapt mid game when crisis occurs

Yeah Bud,
You been around longer than me…
Hasn’t been many years where we haven’t said exactly that I wouldn’t think.

Round 2 v the Cowboys has an ominous feel about it. We always get our pants pulled down playing at our spiritual home grounds in the early rounds.

For your team to have a successful year your spine has to remain injury free throughout the season .. so to look at out spine for this season Api (9) .. Laui and Douiehi (7 and 6) .. and Bulla (1) .. I put Douiehi in there as Lati Fainu seems to have a few rounds out in the early season. If your 6 and 7 play most of the season together .. your season will be a better season as their combination will grow together. The last time the Tigers had a great season was whn Marshall and Prince blitzed the competiton with their combo. So this year lets hope Douiehi and Laui stay injury free .. also come the SOO period the chances of Laui paying again remains to be seen with Cleary and Moses being the perferred combo nowadays.

I hope for oursake and i feel it within myself that we are building and gearing up for a full tilt at the 8 this season .. a new season .. new jerseys .. new players .. and remaining players looking fitter than usual at this time of the off season .. lets go Tigers .. !!

Now that R360 has signalled a delay ( and maybe an existential one) who/what is going to lure away all the Tigers players who are coming off contract just so we have the right things to worry about in the New Year.

Wests Tigers have snared St George Illawarra Dragons Harold Matthews Player of the Year in 2024 Alex Futialo - promising 18yo prop .. He's a big lump of a lad .. hope he continues to progress well into the seniors !!
Played for St Marys U19s in the Penrith comp to finish the season. They lost to Windsor in the GF but Alex was often in the best players in News Corp's regular weekly match reviews. Good signing for the Magpies as a SG ball top ager next season.

Among the top front rowers in the comp, the barnstorming prop is also a dominant figure for the St George Dragons in SG Ball. Super strong through the hips, Alex just continues rolling forward.

he’s a big boy , definitely what we lack

Thinking about it before....and compared to some other clubs just renowned for toughness grit and inyestinal.fortitude...we really are the Gen Z of NRL clubs.

Weve never really had what Wests and Bslmain had at times...."at times" being more than never even slightly

that’s development for ya. some make it some don’t. just happy we’re filling positional gaps with promising jnrs it’s what the good clubs do.
There're better choices been made now at last but when you sign/keep any junior it's a flip of the coin and hope, the success rate is low to how many strive to make it.

Id like to th ink with all the travel theyd be doing in the 2 weeks prior itd be a bit of an unusual, disrupted prep for them.
Bit early in the season for a.must win for us but we need.to nail these games
If they need motivation theres plenty for them...dont need to look far
