Anyone have an update on Bula, I asked yesterday but too many posts since to see if there was a reply

Richo certainly knew what he was doing - HBG desperate to have him as CEO, put in huge clauses to cover himself from a backstabbing, proven 100% correct.

I just wish I was a qualified sports management CEO, there might be a few more smart cookies about who could use HBG for a retirement top-up after a year or two of work.

Thanks to the events of the last 2 weeks, all contract negotiations have stalled. All noteworthy, external players have been scared off.

Based on the fact he was getting less invested as time went by and the fact he didn’t hang around even though he would have known BOF and the independent board members were being reinstated.
The quick cash was much more important to him than Wests Tigers, that is plain obvious.

It's quite obvious that he is a perfect fit for the position as a board member, you only have to look at the HBG Board Member Qualification Matrix.

This isn't true at all!!

You of all people know that the majority of rugby league players coming through junior ranks across the country aspire to play for the Wests Magpies.

If anything, the players are talking about the moves made by HBG as power plays, a show of strength and stability..

It was an amazing move by HBG and we will see the fruits of our rewards when Reece Walsh and Payne Haas join our ranks in 2027 - who will also be taking pay cuts to come and play for the mighty magpies.

If we are talking player recruitment, all he’s done is trying to take the credit for players that have signed because of Benji, not him.
I would love to know Benji’s true feeling on his departure.
I think Benji will get along with Shaun Mielenkamp just fine.

Yeh signing no hopes like Sullivan and all the other pointless contracts where first grade contracts going to players Massey cup level players was so much better than when richardson arrived.

Richardson footy IQ underrated and would be my no 1 risk concern with the footy dept heading into next season.

They need very experienced person in the GM of footy role.

Not sold on Benji recruitment or team selections unless he has drastic improvement

Mate if it's in his contract he's not robbing anyone - those funds are from HBG and have nothing to do with the payments from the NRL to pay the players.

Surprising to me too, but maybe a loop hole that Wests Tigers have actually exploited that may be to our advantage for once.

It could be he comes under the veteran allowance which is included in development cap. Debuted in 2016 and was signed on a 3 year contract that year so would have been top30 from then - 10 years as a top 30 player and he can be signed as a veteran.

Did he also know that PVL was going to allow HBG to increase their representation on the board so it was no longer independent. ,- a situation he was never prepared to work with and publically stated that.
