Reserve graders playing reserve graders

The all stars are reserve graders, but you’re looking to sign up a bloke who’s been in jail for 6 years?

Never been to jail, but thoughts are it would be depressing being in there all day vs time out then a snooze in the clink at night.

Never a rush...but we need to be on the front foot as our circumstances suggest he cld be useful ...and there is a whole piranha of aggressive managers out there
Low risk/potentially high reward
Am no fan of his behaviour...but we hired Packer after all

6 years is a long time.
No one knows if he's even thrown a footy since he went inside.
Nothing wrong with watching a few A grade games and seeing how he goes with a NSW Cup contract in the back of your mind, but he hasn't even said he wants to play.
It's a nice story, but a lot needs to happen for him to be taking up a top 30 spot.
The only thing potentially going for him if he still has it is we really don't have a decent backup hooker if Api goes down and given how long hookers are playing, he could have another 5-7 years left.

Yep - what’s the urgency…
We hold all the cards with the rest of his brothers under contract.
If he wants to join them, he has it all to do. We don’t have to do a thing…

Player has settled im QLD. He has confirmed that he Will be retiring at end of this season.

Probably his best position going forward

Agree, promoting young blokes before their time hasn’t worked for us in past years. Although, the identification and environment hasn’t helped.

We've picked some terrible options..untalented ..or overvalued by themselves or their managers
Bula has worked out well but not that many others

Good intel, I retract my suggestion of Ray Stone. I just did some more research & he has had a few surgeries over the off-season too (both shoulders) his body is pretty banged up.

If not Ray Stone, a forward of his ilk as experienced depth would still be valuable to us atm.

I wish we got Nathan Brown but the swap deal fell through
