seyfarth didnt do too bad
Bula x
turuva x
Bula scored in todays game, sure would rather Edwards but he seemed a little involved.
Turuva did not but he has been good for us, and agreed Seyfarth did decent. I really see Seyfarth as a bench Prop and he does enough in that role.

What I am concerned about is our early defense. Sure Brian To'o is going to score, but we were totally vacant. We seem to start sloppy and then improve, Melbourne and other teams will make us pay dearly if we keep doing this.

Makasini surely is a lock in at very least the left wing, can't leave the kid out he's box office.
He can’t be left out, he brings needed x-factor to our backline and is a once in a generation talent ready to unleash.
Anyone who watches plenty of the lower grades knew of his ability 3 years ago when he was a 15y.o playing Harold Matthews, but it has shocked me how well he has taken to NRL so soon.

Hes mentally weak.
He totally forgot the game and.went after the panther who hit one of our blokes high
Hes very easily upset
Is that a bad thing ?
I’d much rather that than players who let opponents intimidate them.
As I posted last night I’m still not sure if I would include Seyfarth in our top 19 for round 2, but that’s not to say he will not contribute very well off the bench as a middle forward for us if selected.
As a bench middle forward he’s NRL quality without any shadow of doubt, but he’s competing against players such as Sione Fainu, Bunty Afoa and Royce Hunt who are all powerful ball runners that should help us get on the front foot and now also competing against Charlie Murray who has added noticeable size to assist with his smart passing game and high energy & effort.

Exactly competition for spots will ideally lift all of them
I wouldn’t be ruling anyone out even Seyfarth

Yep.
Why is he so disinterested so often? You could see right from the stupid pass he made a few mins in that he wasn't switched on. He's a 50/50 very at present, which isn't good enough if he wants anything over 700k. Execution will vary, effort and focus is obligatory
I kind of wonder...

So some players play 100% all the time. Dylan Edwards/Patton for the dogs was like this.
We had Liam Fulton who went absolutely gangbusters and Bryce Gibbs who would play hard and sometimes get it and sometimes Fluff it.

Then there is the Sniper approach. Ingles can do this, go quiet.. Let people forget about him and time his moment. Luai can do this too, but we need Luai engaged.

We really can't afford to have a player wait for the right moment till our team improves. I also don't think Bula's disinterest is him waiting for the right moment.

Maybe it's time to part ways. I just don't think there are better options at fullback for us.

Mate I thought he showed signs last year. Coming from nowhere when he got his chance he ran hard and showed some skill. I saw him as a decent depth player. Looks like he may have progressed to one of those unheralded smaller middles other clubs seem to find but we never do. Cheap and full of heart.
Agree. We need a benchie to give Api a spell. Hope's a goer but doesn't offer as much as Murray. Can Murray slot in at dummy half?

Mavrik Geyer looking to follow in His father’s footsteps and go to Perth… apparently in talks with them … probably not a major shock after only signing here for 1 year …. But may not be getting a lot of time in the NRL team with the Tigers this season is he jumps ship…

He's not strong enough to be a middle, when he gets tackled most of the time he gets stopped, driven backwards or put on his back.
I thought Sayfart looked good yesterday. However he's a bench prop sitting outside our 17. He looks much bigger this year too. He still isn't strong enough to dominate his man in defense and gets dominated too easily when he has the ball. Then there are the brain explosions and missed tackles. Love his energy but lacking in quality.

Prop Pecking Order: May, Pole, Twal, Sione, Hunt, Bunti then at 7th Seyfarts
Not even in the conversation for back rower
