Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Could be here a long time then. Godinet possibly 2-3 years away at least id think. He has to start sorting up against buffet opponents, can't live off highlights against 16 year Olds anymore
Are you serious ? The kid is 18 and he is in an NRL 30 already playing well above his weight .. no sky expected him to be Angus Crichton or Katie this year .. give him a chance to grow up and fill out , he has all the skill and attitude to become a serious player when he is physically ready

Godinet is just taller then SBW just has to put on some muscle

SBW played around 108kg
Godinet is under 6foot~, sbw was mid 190cms, Godinet is around low 90kgs, sbw was 110kgs. So yeah, they're poles apart.

That doesn't mean Phoenix can't develop into an excellent NRL player, just that power isn't his game at the moment. He's still filling out and will end up close to 100kgs

Actually we have his contract done right for once. He's not top 30, he's not even a development player this season, just a train and trial.

Which is exactly where he should be at this young age. Without the pressure and expectations that come with higher contracts.

Just let the kid develop in Ball and Flegg this year, see how he goes

He is over 6 foot have a look at him next to Benji when he got his new contract about 10cm to 12cm taller then Benji

SWB is 193cm

So you want to go off perception from a photo, where you can't see the full bodies, who's closer, are there steps or anything else that's tricking the camera.

I'm going off seeing him on the field. At SG Ball level he was smaller than all of the Souths forwards, and smaller than all of our other forwards. CTM towers over him. He's a similar frame to SBW.

I thought he went well. Remember they need to fill Perth and PNG so we are going to lose some decent juniors and state cup players - which we are use to. Just need to make sure we are retaining our best.

Need to make sure the May brothers, the Fainus and Makasini are all extended:
PNG will end up with a lot of guys at the back end of their career and they'll struggle...I know the tax free incentive is there, but if that is the only thing that can entice players, they'll get guys playing for all the wrong reasons.

Maybe a few PNG guys playing over in England will come back to earn better money, but I can't see any real superstars joining.

The tax free wages will make someone of Luke Brooks level the highest paid player in the game.
