Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

He is over 6 foot have a look at him next to Benji when he got his new contract about 10cm to 12cm taller then Benji

SWB is 193cm
He is 184-185cm.

He is also 18 so he hasnt even finished growing. For context, Isaiah Papali'i is 182cm...

Our fans are the worst at jumping the gun on 18-20 year olds and rookies in general. Good or bad. Over hyping off a couple performances and writing them off after 1 error. Just be patient. Its always the same culprits, the same ones who had Tim Johannsen starting for NSW in the backrow after trial number 1 last season and 14minutes in first grade.

He's taller than I thought but still light, only young and should fill out, 6ft 2 and 95kg.
He will probably end up with a similar frame to Briton Nikora, about 185. However that suits his play style as he is a crash ball player and is very very strong.

The game is different now and its almost better having those compact forwards who are powerful and have a big motor. Usually with shorter/smaller forwards, the issue is defense, and that is absolutely not an issue for Pheonix. In fact id say hes almost the perfect mould for a forward in 2026 onwards

Won't be falling into the trap of expecting too much from these young blokes until they show some form in 1st grade, Tumeth was hyped up from a young age and did squat.

Been disappointed too many times, Makasini looks the real deal though, gets better with every start.

I think he has so much potential

We have had alot of hyped up forwards so many

Good post. Javon Andrews is 190cm and 98kg which provides context about allowing young players, especially forwards, time to develop.

I rather believe our development system has improved which means our youngsters learn on a much better system.

We have a spot or two in the squad, but no money supposedly… Assume he would be a $400-450k player
I know we are trying on front load contracts such as Jahream and now potentially Makasini, but if we want to give ourselves the best chance of success in 2026 we ideally need one more proven NRL quality outside back as insurance in case To’a doesn’t perform up to scratch and in case we continue to have issues under the high ball.
The 2 that spring to mind that could become excess at their current clubs and therefore may become available sometime between now and round 10 are Jake Averillo and Jesse Arthurs.
I reckon Averillo would be the perfect right centre outside of KPP as he has the speed and class to capitalise with any time and space provided and be a huge line break threat from any offloads.
Arthurs is a very solid proven big game performer who is very good and safe under the high ball.

Question is, would either come to be behind To'a?

Like it or not, To'a is here till 2028 and is probably being paid as the first line centre. Probably backed into a corner a little bit in having to find a back-up from within.

Mate …ideally I would like a date with Margot Robbie … but that probably won’t happen either ..

If there is no money there is no money .., that goes back to when Richo was still here and said publicly don’t expect any more signings for 2026… throwing Bula a $100k sweetener or not wont help getting Averillo here this season

Is there one credible rumour that either the WT or player is interested ?

If our right hand centre/wing combination costs us games throughout the season, don’t say I didn’t tell you so.
