Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Mate Bateman and klemmer , kicked rocks and were locker room cancers , the whole time they were here . Old guys living on yesterday’s success , upset because the coach was like , you’re on double those kids , actually earn your money instead of bitching about who gets credit for the wins. Staines wasn’t mistreated , they simply didn’t renew his contract . Sullivan is the only one, and to be perfectly honest he was given first crack . He had multiple opportunities across now 3 organisations , he’s a good guy apparently but not a strong trainer . He’s a bevan French type who will eventually head to England and get himself a man of steel , and everyone will forget how big average he was in nrl , and talk about how we messed up letting him go … I’ll say year .2028 .
Klemmer has a narrative where you could say he’s mistreated . Not true ! . But even then the club told him guys had gone past him , told him that it wasn’t looking good to hit his quota and gave him permission to talk . He wasn’t mistreated ? Why because the club didn’t want to pay a reserve grader 700k . He agreed to the contract . You telling me if he played like 2018 David Klemmer the club wouldn’t have activated that clause ? Bullshit … but it was in there for a reason .. th club was worried he’d fall off a cliff … and he did . Simply smart business .
I think it is unknown how much of a cancer any of them were or how accurate any of the kicking rocks and what not stories were.
I do however largely agree as i don't think not renewing someone like Staines is mistreating them and moving them all on has ultimately been good cap management. I just don't see how it is any different to what's happened/happening at Bulldogs?

That's fine. Haven't got an issue with the opinion, but you don't come here to say it 70 times a day. Last year he had better stats than Tago.

I think people expect a lot from Star. He tears teams apart with a moment or 2 of brilliance, then people want to see it on every tackle.

He's very good at getting his outside man away and beating a man one on one. He just needs space which he really hasn't had.

Under this team, I think he'll go to another level.
It's the acting injured after every tackle slowing down any chance of a quick play the ball, then walking back and limping in defence to miss his player and put us under pressure multiple times a game that I'm not a fan of with Starford

I’d happily take RTS for a couple years if Bula goes. Two years could be a good stop gap till Attard is ready. Assuming he is. Or some other kid could easily jump out of the ground. You never know. Buys us some time.
Good shout. Agreed.

A guy i work with got an Uber last year and it was RTS's dad that was driving. True story. Hopefully he wants to come back over here.

I mentioned RTS as a potential Bula contingency last week.

Maybe just maybe ...

New Zealand superstar Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is ready to explore his options in Sydney as he looks to extend his NRL career for at least another two years.

Sport Confidential can reveal that a handful of clubs have already expressed an interest in the 32-year-old, who is off contract at the end of the season and expected to leave the Warriors after they signed Melbourne winger Will Warbrick.

Tuivasa-Sheck has played 234 games and scored 75 tries across 13 seasons in the game but he is far from finished as he looks to push on, having originally planned to move to rebel rugby union competition R360.

With R360 postponed until at least 2028, Tuivasa-Sheck has opted to explore his options in the NRL. A handful of clubs in the game are on the lookout for outside backs and Tuivasa-Sheck is expected to figure prominently in discussions.
RTS is taking big paycuts at Warriors and he would be great to have around the club.

For the right money, if you could get a guy that plays wing, centre and fullback for a couple of years, that really strengthens your depth in multiple areas for the cost of one salary.

Laulilli is gone next year. Skelton unsigned. May could be recovering from that shoulder after surgery and To'a you never know.

He'd be a great signing.

If he is acting and not really injured that is certainly a concern. What makes you say he's acting?

The problem is the at the dogs the communication was that these guys were core members , as recently as round 8/9 last year … then they weren’t . You could say sexton was always looking over his shoulder , but Mahoney ? Xerri ? Burton ? There’s a reason Mahoney was looking to punch on in Vegas . Some ill feelings there . But you’re right that’s no different to Bateman . And there’s a common denominator… and we all know who that is. I think also guys like Mahoney affected and ultimately changed the dogs culture . Remember he went there when no one would . Bateman came in late , drive a shit culture within the team , perpetuated division and ultimately he was as much to blame as Richo was . The guys mentioned at the dogs changed the culture to the positive , and it was a case of what have you done for me lately.
The guys we released did the opposite. I think that’s the difference

Didn’t see this 😂

i dont think iys fair to say hes acting idk if theres any first grade players doing to much acting unless trying to milk a pen. Man idk abt hm. Theres no doubt he had as much quality as anyone on his day and i do think its this year which decides what happens with his future.I do know Benjis a fan so really he has to finally stand up and play consistent footy
