Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Agreed. I've always been a fan of what he can bring on field. He did however come with a rep for being a bad trainer.
My concerns isn't so much the fact hes copped more than his fair share of injuries. It is, given his reputation, have these injuries been the result of poor prehab and rehab? I don't know if this is the case just something I am mindful of.
He must have had multiple injuries last season as he was constantly limping.
A shoulder injury doesn’t make someone limp.

Brent Read just said on radio that the Tigers are not interested in Xerri. The link was only made because he and Benji share the same manager.

He also mentioned that the Tigers are looking at Scott Drinkwater if Bula doesn’t re-sign.

Read was one of the guys pushing the Tigers interest story to begin with … must have had an epiphany overnight then..
Must be an easy job being in the League media … you make up the story one day and then deny it the next ..

Tomorrow we”ll expect him to deny they had any interest in Drinkwater no doubt

Think it was Riccio pushing that storyline.

Wouldn't be surprised if Read jumped on as well though.

Drinkwater is pathetic. Never seen someone with worse defense

Some of our supporters and some in the media keep saying we are not interested in Bronson Xerri as we have plenty of centres including Starford To’a.
Injuries aside, who in their right mind would choose To’a over Xerri ?
IF Xerri is stipulating he only wants to play left centre, I could then understand why we are not interested as we really need a right centre.

We aren’t going to know the full story…I wouldn’t necessarily believe the Dogs version about what has led to this dispute …so maybe treat the “left Center only “ thing as unproven at this stage ..

I certainly hope the Tigers are confident in both Toa and May returning quickly , but I think there is potential with both to have longer than expected stints on the sidelines ..if that happens our season is probably cooked

Someone on this forum posted that Xerri grabbed Crichton by the throat at training.
Without knowing the truth, that sounds like a more likely reason he is in this position as the Bulldogs are always going to back their golden boy.
If this did happen, sure it’s out of order, but Crichton does come across as very arrogant.
I know he and Luai are mates, but thankfully for us, Luai has a much better demeanour about him and after publically backing Galvin, I wonder if Luai and Crichton are as close as they once were ?

If we sign drink water we’ve undone all our hard work of past 2 years

you believe what someone says on the forum ? 😂…. Look , anything is possible but you think the media would be all over that Crichton story, and Xerri is probably already out the door by now … when it first broke, the story I heard was he was gunna get traded to Penrith for Tago ..people just make stuff up these days

would be kind of funny if dogs got Bula

Reminds me of when they tried signing Tedesco, Moses, Brooks and Woods then ended up with only Woods

He wouldn’t be going for any less than 900k and if they get him at that price then good luck

Good player but he has a long way to go before becoming an elite FB

Keep in mind, he is the same age as the hammer and weekes and they seem to be miles ahead in terms of progression

If he was ever going to be elite, this is his time to show it

There is something tn the story more than what is being reported in the media.
Xerri was one of the Bulldogs best players last season, he plays reasonably well in a winning team in round 1 to then be dropped for their next game ?
To me that indicates a fallout with a senior player such as Crichton is believable.
Would Bula really want to play for a team where you can be the flavour of the month, then within a short period of time you are on the outter ?
Don’t be surprised if Purdue ends up at the Bulldogs, there is no way possible they are choosing Bula over Purdue if they had a choice of them both.

Fully healthy, I'd take Toa over Xerri. I think he has more dimension to his game. Just wish the bloke would get back on the field.

Well..I said no one will likely know the full story for the bust up,,, I heard they told him he wasn’t wanted past his current deal and that he was getting dropped this week so maybe he has just blown up deluxe and said he wanted out …. The rest is just innuendo leaked by the club to cover their tracks … Gus and Ciraldo are hard asses no doubt ….

Also - is it possible to engage with you without the story coming back to Purdue ? 😂… I thought Obsession was only a fragrance from Calvin Klein .. if Drinkwater is out the door, then that would lead me to think he is staying where he is
