Honestly, why not move Luai to 9.

As people are saying, with Api injured we have:
Luai
Madden
Hope
Latu Fainu

as options for Hooker.

Of the 4 above, Luai goes AWOL but can tackle. Madden would be pounded, Fainu spent most of the melbourne game in the bin and ... You have to have a lot of hope for tristan to play at the moment.

Our Squad is not as bad as it seems. We need an upgrade at right centre no doubt but our depth is ok. I don’t have a problem with having guys like Hope, Madden, Herbert, bunty etc. They can all play a role when needed.

The issue we face is we currently have to many injured or suspended forcing us to play our depth/reserve graders in our current 17. You can get away with 2/3 playing but 5 is just too much for any team to be competitive, especially with 3 in your spine.

Latu needs to start as he’s nrl quality. Sukkar should also be playing as while Sione is first grade standard in the middle he’s a second grader on the edge.

Bunty and Hope cannot be played. They were pretty much solely the reason for the shocking start. Their middle defence (also Pole yesterday) was pathetic

Style or not .. he ia still comparing him to an elite player in the game …

I don’t want these kids getting these elite comparisons .. we seem to have a repeated problem with them getting big heads,or not living up to the expectations

I think Glassie is a specialist left centre. We need an A-class right centre for next year (or even the rest of this year for that matter).

Fingers crossed Joseph Manu wants to come back and play in the west for a year or two. Would be great cover for fullback too until our young guns are ready...

It was really poor seeing Hope either get pushed back or give away pen. Api is easy to critique at times but wow it’s an eye opener seeing how much he’s missed. The little man is a beast at taking down the big boys.

Latu is of the same mould. Sometimes a little sketchy with their technique but hey when you’re giving up 10-20cm and 20kg you’ve got to defend that sort of way.

Pole is a whole other issue. Sometimes he’s great then you get glimpses of a reserve grader that won’t make it. Again I think every supporter is harsher on their own team and players than anyone else but asides from Twal, May and KPP the rest were very avg.

Glassie did play a lot of right centre prior to this year.
