I can cop the ones that aren’t accidents. He made a choice to slam the guys head and probably deserves a week or two. More frustrating when it’s an accident and the league keep changing the goal posts.

Because most teams are struggling to find 17 NRL standard players, throw in a few injuries and your stuffed, throw injuries in key positions and it’s season over. Of course PVL football is also not helping with the referees now basically controlling the momentum of games

I’ll say my piece again, try JL at FB, Skelton to centres, Latu to 6, Madden to 7.
With Herbert out then assume Toa will come back in as well. ( not keen but no options).

** Try and sign a mid season recruit ASAP.
- Highly unlikely the Dolphins would let Averillo go, but he won’t be in their full strength top 17, so it could be worth trying.
- Similar story with Izaac Tago, very unlikely the Panthers will let him go, but it could help them keep some others long term, so worth an enquiry
- Sione Finau - young, tall, strong, fast and athletic. We don’t have enough backs that fit that description and he’s not getting any NRL opportunities at the Raiders, I think he would be gettable.
- James Schiller - he is also young, tall, strong, fast and athletic. He is rarely getting an NRL opportunity at the Knights and being a specialist right sided centre or winger he fits the description of what we are currently lacking.

I would move Laulilii to centre instead of Turuva, but much of a muchness really.

The dragons sign him. Why wern't we making a pitch?

We clearly need an organising halfback and there are not many in supply.

It may not be your reasoning, but a loud voice and experience NRL winger in Turuva might be what Makasini needs to help bring out the best in him at left centre.
Luke Laulilli would be a good attacking threat at right centre. His defence would be a concern, but probably no worse than anyone else we currently have available to select at right centre.

The simple truth is alot of the boys we are criticising really weren't meant to play 1s, they were here to strengthen cup so we could bring our young fellas into a positive environment and teach them the right way. Unfortunately we have had to play them and it's hurt
