Another struggling club would pay him that or more…so do we let these players go?

We're always gonna have to overpay to keep kids.

Been happening since Chris Lawrence, Moses and Brooks were on 450 before they played a game
- At 18 (Outside Brooks Debut)

It's been a never ending circle,
Overpay kids just to keep them - Give them Roster Spots before their time
(Comes with the stupid money they're on)
Have no money left to fill the squad with Quality - Kids don't come through under the right on field leadership - Team stays shite because of Ordinary senior Players / Leadership - Talented kids leave.
Rinse and Repeat.

Woods has also mentioned it regarding his last negotiating process with the club.
The manager (Moses) sat them all down and said, If you sign these Contracts you've been offered
(Roughly a Mill each) they're not going to be able to afford decent players to play with you.
- You'll have to win it on your own.

Was all too hard for 3 of them, One was stupidly loyal - Probably botched his career.

We need a better squad mate … Cronulla make the 8 every year with FA money and pathways and even fans … although they have good experienced coaching and a solid deep squad …

Sharks have outstanding pathways. Always competitive in junior reps & Flegg.

Pretty bang on summary of where its been going wrong. I think players and manager know it too - get your start and some visibility at the Tigers on an NRL wage, then make some noise and move on after 18 months.

I have faith that things have moved a little in this department but man we need 1 or 2 more leaders.

If he was signed here as per the reports …the 10 days will be up around today …. I think an announcement could be made this week …. Also ..I think he hasn’t been named in their NRL teams these last few weeks …. They got two champion centres ahead of him…

Broken hand has had him out for a while, however i think he has recovered from that in the last 2 weeks....maybe just in time to put pen to paper. Bostock has been a revelation at center, so its unlikely he gets a run in firsts unless they have injuries.

Yeah looks like a good list but these players would probably mid tier players at best.

If you're a young gun, who would you rather play for, Melbourne, Brisbane, Roosters, Parra, etc or the Tigers? (We can't afford to continually pay overs, where's the money come from HBG🙂)

So we need luck, we need some of these 'rejects' (Harsh but you know what I mean) to come good because all the guns are playing somewhere else.

However, our local gun juniors may stay with us these days but they are few and far between.

I could name 9 juniors in our squad too …but a lot of them aren’t great …why do they develop theirs and we don’t ? Elite coaching is a big factor in my view… plenty others decide to leave and are first graders at other clubs

Luck? They had a good batch all at the right time.

We had Farah, Marshall, Fulton, Gibbs Skando, and some others all a the same time.

But elite coaching certainly would count but I can't imagine we are too far behind with this

Didn’t we have a good bunch coming through a few years ago that won one of the junior comps ? Most are gone or never developed to NRl level
