Did that include NRL wages? For 2022 - looks like the NRL funded $13m per club so the Panthers would have had to fund the other $4m I guess ..

If the talk is true and all three rumoured do go, there might be room for Blore, he would be an upgrade on Seyfarth, as players go you need better coming in not always easy to do, need to be patient.

Yes but the article said they spend 17 million, so they spend more than they are given. That was my read of the article …they also get a couple of million more over the salary cap as you probably know from the NRL …. big wages spend otherwise …how many coaches are they employing or maybe Ivan is making more than we think ?
That's not what I'm saying....the pathways kids get paid outside of the cap, nothing illegal. The reality is the money is an investment in developing your pathways as they cant play in cup or first grade as those comps have a cap.Everyone claims they know for a fact clubs are making payments outside the cap (and I believe they likely are). Why not report what you know, make it public knowledge and maybe have the NRL look into it?

I'm not sure why the pushback to prove that money doesn't help Tom. Is that your argument? That our current investment is sufficient for long-term success and the problems lay elsewhere? I don't want to assume your position, which is why I ask, but I don't really understand the heavy pushback on this issue.
having said that they have won alot more games then we have over the last 15 years....dont underestimate the joy fans get winning games and making finals...premierships are great, however a team that wins more than they lose is also nice.Parramatta spend about 8-9 times more than we do a year and haven’t won a premiership in 40 years 😂
Crazy

I was disappointed when Blore moved on, he was signed with Melb and from memory we let him go early to get the center (forget his name) that we ended up medically retiring. I would love to have Blore back...as long as he is not broken.I was a bit skeptical about moving on Toa in particular, but perhaps it might happen..I’ve long been a fan of Blore … one of the other guys here was always saying he was forever injured , but i suspect there was a bit of copium after he left …he played like every game for the Storm for 2 years …
This might be where you are having issues - nobody said...ever.I’ve never challenged they spend more than they are given,,,I’ve looked into this in the past and I had that figure of around $5m more than the grant in my mind … that seems to tee up with the Penrith figure but I’m a bit surprised at Parramatta…and the Canterbury report doesn’t seem to carve it out .,
People are questioning me as you are now and I’m responding …I wouldn’t necessarily describe it as “heavy pushback”…
We are ran by cheapskates no doubt , but I get a bit tired of people just thinking if we copied Penrith with the spend we would have success…it takes more than spending money
Penrith are a very special team …a once in a lifetime team… i don’t think what they have achieved is easily copied ..

There are secondary caps as well. Every contract falls under a salary cap from a million dollar first grader to a 13yr old on 2kThat's not what I'm saying....the pathways kids get paid outside of the cap, nothing illegal. I would expect that spending by Parra includes grants given by the NRL where as the 1.5mil in tigers spending obviously does not, making it about even between the two.Parramatta spend about 8-9 times more than we do a year and haven’t won a premiership in 40 years 😂
