Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Has less than zero clue - says players don’t get better after leaving… you give him a list of some that do and he changes direction.

Aloiai, Liddle, Suli, Matterson, Walters - also worthy of a mention.
played better footy after leaving here and were better than the nuffies we had here in their place.
Aloiai and Matterson definitely better when with us

Matterson you could argue - although he played origin post us, so that would be kicking on to a degree you’d think?
Aloiai i’d counter, he was really starting to fire up front for us when he left and I thought he had a couple great seasons at Manly at Prop in between his injuries and what not.

You have to ask was it the club that pushed them out or was it the player wanting to leave
Aloiai - came to the club and said he was never playing for the club again when under contract - better contract already lined up at manly
Liddle - not wanted by the club and was bench hooker at St George for last 2 years
Suli - sacked by the club for failing basic requirements, then sacked by bulldogs and manly.
Matterson left because he didn’t like Madge’s requirements now trying to be moved in by Parra after taking a weeks off instead of a fine
Walters - went back to Brisbane

Difficult to lay the blame at the club for these although they are responsible for lots of issues

A lot of players we have let go have kicked on elsewhere , but every club could say the same thing. There are a million and one reason why this happens and usually is not a reflection of the club releasing the player. If you kept everyone you would have 150 players on your books. Okay I think we have made a few bad calls but we are not alone, every club has done the same

Difference between us and all the other clubs is they still had good players - we let good players and juniors go to keep shit ones.

It would be interesting to list, side by side two teams.

One a team of Wests Tigers' best per position since the franchise started alongside one made up of the worst side the club has allowed to put on the jersey per position listing a coach each ie best team = best coach / worst team =worst coach.

I'd need to look up the full list of WT players ever to lace a boot though before naming the worst. It'd be much easier to pick the best...............maybe because there's a lot less to choose from 😔

Watching Parra vs. Raiders, Kelma Tuilagi & Kitione Kautoga both better than any of our backrow depth (Not hard to beat to be fair) Kelma Tuilagi is off contract, worth a look as a Seyfarth replacement? we literally have no backrow depth, Roberts has been injured most fo the season and is still very young, so wouldnt focus much on him atm

We’re not the only club mate, it’s just we are focused on our team so we notice our shortcomings more. I’m sure if you asked supporters from other clubs, particularly say Bulldogs and St George, you’ll probably find they’ve lost a lot of players they didn’t want to lose either.

No they didn’t. They went during and at the end of 2017.
18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26….less than 10 years.
It’s a dumb statement you made. Even Brooks, Papali’i and Steph should be on this list.
Nah, Brooks shouldn't be on that list. He was ordinary with us and remains just that.

Lot of people are questioning who has kicked on after leaving
How about the endless list of players who have gone backwards once they got here
