Would assume considering he is already off next year - may as well free up every bit of salary cap we can. We have depth on the wings so he was unlikely to get a run later in the year when we want to develop those who are staying.

It’s an odd one ..maybe it frees up an extra $60-70k they need to bring another player to the club ?
