I could be wrong but that’s not the structure any of the current top 4 use or most of the top 8 for that matter.

We will obviously see how it plays out in the coming weeks/months, but as it stands we will have a weaker squad next year without him than we currently do.

We’re in the Rugby League business. The only thing that matters is W/L. I’m so sick of hearing how we are freeing up cash by letting good players go.

Club seems keen now to retain players who are on contracts at their proper value, hence the likes of Luai ($1.2M), To'a ($450K), Hunt ($500K) & Seyfarth ($450K) all reportedly shopped recently. Our contracts in brackets to what I believe is close to what they are on.

That's too many people to shop at once.

I really dislike the way we buy players then shop them.
1. I don't think we should shop Romi, Yes it's a huge chunk of cap but it's inviting a stack of Drama for a player we built our culture around.
2. We should pick Hunt OR Seyfarth and shop 1 and 1 only. We need beef and we really cannot loose both of them, particularly with our current forward stocks.

Glad the Toa experiment is over. Yet I wish we had some consistent direction in recruitment.

Hire Jack Bird, punt jack bird.
Resign Toa on 450k, then punt him.


We need change, we don't need team wrecking change.
We need to identify our targets and hunt them hard. Not buy, sell, buy another...

I wouldn’t be surprised if Latu’s manager has said during the contract negotiations that Latu needs more time in the halves next year or he’s out of here. Hence moving Romey on.

We have been very good at signing players to well above their value over the years.
Should we change our name to Wests Tigers Super Annuation ?
The idea is only pay overs to genuine superstars who are in the top 1-3 in their position, or to boom up and coming players to take a punt on them becoming elite.

The Fainu’s all seem very comfortable at WT, despite Latu getting limited opportunities so far. Any chance this was all part of a plan for a while now?

Who knows whats been going on. The group has not been the same since Luai signed for PNG

You wouldn’t believe it, Gus has just been visiting Manase in gaol. Just to check on his wellbeing of course.
